I used to love watching football but I just can’t be bothered anymore. It’s just been ruined by greed. The women’s game isn’t tainted… yet so I watch then when I can. Endurance running is my jam now, seems to attract a lot of humble folks (on the whole).

    1. Unreal

If hasn’t been ruined at all
It’s resulted in a situation where two or three of the greatest players who ever lived have had long and distinguished careers unlike in the past when the best players were usually ruined by drink, drugs or fame.

It’s funny hearing the whining because the clubs involved in this are guaranteed a place in the Super league.
Under the new EUFA format for the revised Champions League there will be places in the 36 teams for ‘ elite clubs that have failed to qualify.’
The ESL merely picks up this concept and runs with it.
Anyone who thinks they haven’t done their legal due diligence on attempts to kick them out of domestic leagues is in for a shock.

Thereby continuing the watering down of domestic leagues, as has been happening for 30 years – football has become a joke in this regard – watch the lawyers make a lot more money… even compared to the owners and players… Throw in the Qatari World Cup nonsense… good times…you reap what you sow

          We agree.
Greedy football organisations just met someone even greedier and with more money.
The idea that it’s all done for the fans risible nonsense.
Anyone who has been to an NFL game knows the whole match day experience for fans forking out big money for tickets is on a totally different level to the dodgy meat pies on offer at a Premiership game.
Gary Neville was right last night – Man United can’t even be arsed to paint their stadium.

“The idea that it’s all done for the fans risible nonsense.” – I agree, total nonsense.

If you want it to be about the fans, go see and contribute to local clubs/teams … otherwise stop complaining…

Take back control… waka, waka… it’s what Farage would want

Football taking back control – discuss… I don’t actually care, I’m on the snooker, every other sport is pointless…

Remember the cop who died in the Capitol Hill riot ?
You know the one the usual suspects on here claimed was murdered ?
Hit with a fire extinguisher they squealed.
Sprayed with a deadly chemical they whinnied.
I did warn at the time the reporting of the entire Capitol Hill incident was partisan and over the top and there was absolutely no evidence to back up the claims.
Late Monday night the chief medical examiner for Washington DC ruled Officer Brian Sicknick died of natural causes.

Don’t be gullible.Believe what your eyes are seeing not the filtered views of biased hacks telling you what you’re seeing.

” The autopsy found no evidence of an allergic reaction to chemicals, nor of internal or external injuries “

” Due to privacy laws, Dr Diaz is unable to say whether the officer had any pre-existing medical conditions. ”
        ‘Nuff said.

It’s sad that that makes you happy, you know that?
You don’t obviously. Hate does that to you.

      1. benblack

You should bloody well know, Papi.

        Come on, dude!

Unless, this is a professional gig/persona for you?

Nappy is my own personal dingle-berry.
He hangs around me all day and he’s full of you know what.

    2. Nigel

Why is it good news that a bunch of people who assaulted someone who died hours later won’t be charged with murder? What claims weren’t backed up? You haven’t disputed any factual aspect of the reporting, you’ve just repeated them?

To recap for those with poor memories.
DC was flooded with thousands of troops and police in a massive overkill security operation.
Yet when a peaceful demo arrived at the Capitol Hill building they found abysmal security and virtually no police.
A few fruit loops and nutjobs broke in, did some damage, took a few souvenirs then wandered off as peacefully as they came.
Yet the media billed it as an attempted coup on America and the free world.
Ignoring the fact that it was a vicar’s tea party compared to the violence, looting and killing during endless BLM protests.
It was shoddy reporting designed to show Donald Trump in the worst possible light.
Officer Sicknick was a casualty that night but only of the truth.

‘give us our arsenal back’ proclaims a sign.

    Charger’s Breakfast Roll Poll™

Good morning to my loyal camp followers, The Dingle-Berry and all the general loiterers who enjoy my cheery musings on vaccine pricks and polls.
The latest opinion poll gives Boris a 10-point lead over Labour – the 54th lead in a row for the Tories.
In fact as a sign of general approval for Boris’s handling not just of the vaccine roll-out but of the pandemic itself there have been 146 polls since Sir Kneel-a-lot took over as leader and Labour have led in just 12 of them.

    Conservatives 44%
    Labour 34%
    LibDem 10%
    SNP 4%
    Green 4%
    ( Redfield & Wilton )

As the Boris Jab Express builds up a full head of steam with more than 10 million people fully vaccinated the light at the end of the tunnel shines brightly.

Boris Johnson says no Border Poll for a long time. Phewww. As St. Augustine might have said: Lord make us a united Ireland – but not yet.

……DO THE RIGHT THING – has be some joke by Dennis…..the right thing haha as if he’d even know at this stage.

“O’Brien described the UK’s donation as “pitiful” and said it “is a slap in the face of the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines, who as members of the Commonwealth, find themselves in a desperate situation.”

The Digicel Chairman further stated: “The UK Government needs to step up, do the right thing and increase substantially its aid and financial assistance as a matter of urgency; this would be a small measure of the historical debt owed to these communities.”

This is the RIGHT thing…..yeah the richest man in Ireland.

“Communication Workers’ Union (CWU) general secretary Clyde Elder expressed his astonishment over Digicel’s decision as he said the company has always boasted about being the “bigger, better network” and having the biggest market share.“
“Elder said he was puzzled by this move as Digicel did not have a high headcount in Trinidad as the company always outsourced most of its activities.“

    1. CE

“This is the RIGHT thing…..yeah the richest man in Ireland.” – correction richest man in Malta
