everyone who qualifies is entitled to vote… they are also entitled to chose not to share with society if that is their want, but shouldn’t expect others to share back if they chose not to.

        1. U N M U T U A L

          Let me rephrase my question…
When the unvaxed choose to vote in person at a voting booth, should they be denied?
A simple yes or no will suffice.

    1. Micko

      Swoon… Mr Spider

I say, you wouldn’t be in favour of not upholding the Irish constitution, would you old chap?

The whole bodily integrity, freedom of movement and right to privacy bit.

The thing that all our ancestors fought so hard for.

Never mind the right to data privacy under GDPR.

Ooooh’ the fines and lawsuits would be astronomical!

I think the Irish gov will want to avoid that. What do you think? ;)

      https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/government_in_ireland/irish_constitution_1/constitution_fundamental_rights.html

      Yeah – I think they might…

      1. Cian

        Did you miss this part:
Fundamental rights are not absolute – they can be limited or restricted by the Oireachtas for certain reasons, for example, for the common good or public order.

        1. Micko

Limited or restricted doesn’t apply to bodily integrity or privacy now does it?

But sure we’re all Europeans now anyway and we Europeans love the aul GDPR.

And the fines. Ohhhh the fines.

          Never gonna happen Cian.

    2. Neville

Exactly then should customers or work colleagues have the right to ensure they keep a miles distance from these health hazards
Make them wear I d so we know

      1. Micko

Ye know, the one REALLY useful thing about this pandemic is that it’s really highlighted the folks that would’ve been packing people into gas chambers in 1940’s Germany.

As freewheeling pointed out below – it won’t be forgotten. Not by your friends anyway.

        1. Nigel

Is it the ones who think there’s a section of society working together in secret, a cabal if you will, to use their control of media and high finance and corrupted politicians to orchestrate a fraudulent global disease as a pretext to take power and control away from them, to impoverish them and oppress then tyrranise them and carry out monstrous scientific experiments on innocent people, all as part of an evil master plan, a set of protocols, as it were, of secret masters, as it were? Because I don’t think that will be forgotten, no.

          1. Micko

            Ummm…

I’m gonna give that a hard “no”

It’s the ones shouting at people in shops for not washing their hands or wearing masks or taking pictures of people not following the rules and shaming them on social media.

You know – the super happy fun brigade.

jolly ol heads like Neville above that think people should have to wear ID to show their medical status.

Give it up Nigel. You know you’re just being a contrarian for the sake of it.

You can’t possibly agree with Neville’s suggestion above. ;0)

          2. Nigel

Yeah the conspiracy theorists are supposed to be the ones in charge, not the people trying to deal with an actual pandemic. You’ll never get to shove anyone in an oven at this rate.

        2. Daisy Chainsaw

The ones going to rallies, listening to the bigots and racists who organise them? Yep, they definitely would be paid up members of the Hitler fanclub!

          1. Micko

Not the ones suggesting we should make people wear badges to identify them then.

            Yup.. cool cool

          2. Daisy Chainsaw

The antis are the ones looking to wear yellow star badges, hijacking the murder of six million jews, because having to wear a facemask and clean your hands regularly is exactly the same as being persecuted for your religion and gassed to death in a concentration camp.

Racists and bigots are forever trivialising the atrocity of the Holocaust by comparing ihr kampf to the torture and murder of millions.

I’d say it’s a lot higher than 1 in 5. Ryan Mark Parsons is a 21 year old, reality TV, nobody.

    1. SOQ

Absolutely higher and why wouldn’t it be? Chose between near zero risk of serious Covid-19 vs something with unknown side effects which could last a lifetime? Of course the holidays scare has been shot down now so they have to come up with new ways of trying to coerce people into taking it.

      1. Oro

It wouldn’t be because it’s not. Survey says x. Just because you want y to me more true doesn’t mean x (the reality) is wrong. Your dissatisfaction with the truth doesn’t make it less truthful sorry.

        1. SOQ

          What survey?

Young people without comorbidities are extremely low risk of developing serious Covid-19- FACT.

SARS-Cov-2 can still be transmitted post vaccination- FACT.

People are presenting with a range of side effects and injuries already- FACT.

Why in God’s name would any young person risk taking it?

          1. Oro

The one that is the subject matter of both this post and your own comment? Did you read the post?

“1 in 5” which you said is incorrect. Based on your own emotional response.

    1. freewheeling

      this too will pass

(but his comments won’t! – they’ll be on record for ever more, and will come back to be used against him)

  2. eoin

We have Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin and now Alvesco (which Dr Fauci was directly informed of and chose to ignore). All are being used in the field as treatments and cures for covid19. All have been around for a long time and all are safe. Two can even have prophylactic potential and one is so effective, that it can cure the patient and prevent the patient from spreading the virus. And yet we are proceeding at break neck speed with pushing untested gene therapies and salves that are being presented as safe vaccines. Yet they neither promise to cure you or prevent you from catching the virus or spreading it. In fact they have limited effect on actually treating symptoms. And most people are just fine with this? The only logical reason for this is that many have a blind faith in the pharma companies. If that’s the case, then people really need to do some research into previous industry screw ups all in the name of making a quick buck. There are a lot of doctors and experts in the field of virology blowing their whistles as loud as they can and they are being totally ignored. Discussion has been completely avoided by the media and the powers that be. It sounds like a terrible conspiracy theory…but it is happening.

    1. SB

Exactly WHO is using these for treatment? Faith healers? When google, all I see is stuff like “FDA cautions against use of hydroxychloroquine” and “EMA advises against use of ivermectin”. Have they been actually approved for Covid use by any regulatory body? I think I’ll trust the actual scientists.

      1. SOQ

        I posted this earlier?

Dr. John Campbell is a retired Nurse Teacher and A and E nurse based in England and has done a number of reviews of Ivermectin- all of which have been positive- this is his latest from yesterday.

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJSUKDng_Ww

Studies from Mexico, Peru and India. India has licenced Ivermectin for Covid-19 use which is the main reason the western media are jumping up and down claiming all sorts of hysterical nonsense about what is happening there.

Just think about that for a moment- the country with the second largest population in the world has licenced Ivermectin for Covid-19 use- it is not a fringe or alternative treatment.

What people like you you don’t seem to understand is a lot of scientists are in the pockets of the pharmaceutical industry. It is after all one of the most powerful- and corrupt- industries in the world.

Where did Cian’s comment about a nurse on YouTube go to? I think it pretty much revealed the agenda for all to see.

      2. Just Sayin

SB your google must be broken, either that or you’re just a complete fuppwit

    2. ce

Why the need for treatments for something that doesn’t exist and isn’t dangerous… surely that would be overreacting?

      1. Just Sayin

Covid does exist, albeit not as rampant or dangerous as NPHET would have you believe.

For most people it will be less dangerous that a bad flu, but for some older vulnerable people it is more dangerous.

Current policy is to let enough vulnerable people die to scare the rest of us into getting an un-needed un-tested vaccine.

I would prefer that the government protected / treated the vulnerable rather than running a psy-ops campaign against us for the benefit of vaccine makers.

  3. Cian

A survey for GMB has found that 1 in 5 18-29 years olds will either refuse to take the vaccine when offered or are undecided.

Or to put it another, more positive, way:
A survey for GMB has found that 4 in 5 18-29 years olds will take the vaccine when offered.

    1. Micko

Excellent point Cian. That is true. The pertinent stat is the positive number.

Surely to most people – this is a good news story!

Now, your next question should be why the media is focusing on the wrong negative statistic?

Pop off there now and have a think

      I’ll wait…
