Oh look, yet another Covid-19 post with a Tweet from the finest of the anti-lockdown brigade to back it up. How many is that today? This site is rapidly losing its appeal

Well in fairness The Journal has had 7 posts related to Covid on its site today already. But with the opposing slant.

I’m sure the other Irish mainstream news outlets are mostly the same today too.

So, I think BS Bodger brings a good balance to that. + animal Pics :)

Pop over to Euronews and it’s even less. Only 1 or 2 Covid stories on the front page there.

It would be more worrying if the site were burying stories that don’t fit a predetermined narrative, the above happened therefore it’s fine to report it. Then it’s up to you to translate whether you agree or disagree, but we shouldn’t get into the position where we censor articles that don’t fit personal political stances. Hearing all sides is important and I think Broadsheet do a pretty balanced job of that in this increasingly polarised world where folk don’t see the danger in creating echo chambers, which are the reason polarisation occurs in the first place.

I have no problem with alternative arguments and that is actually why I read Broadsheet. But all too often what we are getting now is a tweet from an anonymous Twitter account appended to an article with some “meanwhile” commentary from Bodger which continuously hints at some sort of global conspiracy around Covid-19. That is not balance, and does nothing to help discussion because there is no actual argument presented.

breathless and I have excellent lung capacity,
always wear my lens to run, peripheral vision is very useful :)

I tried running in a mask too.
        Ridiculous.
Ended up just giving her back her handbag.

id say KBC are delighted, no sponsorship fees wasted. would be wasted as leaving the irish market.

In fairness Rasta it was a tongue in cheek comment suggesting that we will be locked down again in October. And it didn’t say 5 laps of 5k, it said 5 laps of the same distance. I will be referring to him as The Hooligan from now on, though.

Still, stupid decision even though it doesn’t effect me – I need my full lung capacity to keep Marlboro in profit.

  4. Truth.

RTE giving airtime to sexual abuse victims today, mainstream media follow suit, this is happening before another
Major scandal is about to be revealed re,Horrific Child Abuse in a rugby school. Both RTE and the mainstream
Media have known about this for a long time.
