    Why is it always described as ‘brisk’? Do people vote in a languorous way?

    Saunter in, have a long gaze around the place, relax, take your time finding the correct table, have a chin wag with the people on duty, take a pen and study the ‘form’ and make your punt.

    Shuffle out again 30 minutes later and off home to bed after all that exhilaration.

    OR

    Go in, find your table, get your polling sheet, vote and leave. Briskly.

    Maybe its just me?
