Portmarnock today absolute bedlam, however a free bottle of wine as a thank you from the couple we allowed to park in the drive…karma innit

      Portmarnock’s a place I regard
as a village where every square yard,
      Is car-ridden and yet
      those fortunate met
      with Broadsheets resident Lock-hard.

Of course Brittas comes from the Irish Briotáis = [a] wooden parapet, which in term comes, via the Normans no doubt, from the Old French ‘bretesche’, boarding or planking.

I’m sunburned, a little drunk and there is sand between my toes. What an absolutely cracking day.

We had a picnic on the beach and even got a swim with little miss.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend ;)
