Who honestly gives a flying fupp? We’ve bigger things to worry about. If Leo and Ivana aren’t going to have any repercussions finding out who else was there is just a waste of time

Well I for one certainly do.

If they are going to ban people out of pubs and restaurants on the factually incorrect assumption that only they can be infectious, then the very least they could have done is played by the rules themselves.

And if you doubt the economic impact this is having on businesses then I suggest you take a run up north where both are back to full strength.

Pfffff… you think finding out who was at this soiree will change anything about that? Come on man, don’t be so naive. They’ve closed the country down on shaky enough ground over the last year, finding out who was drinking mojitos at this thing ain’t going to make a blind bit of difference.

And please don’t say we need to find out who they are so we dont vote them back in next time. This is Ireland. They’ll walk back in.

Maybe so but as commented below- we already have had a series of resignations because of something similar in the past.

Let’s see where the cards fall first before deciding on the outcome eh?

Yawn. But for the idle like Paddy Cosgrave they can spend all day every day obsessing about this nonsense and dreaming of settling personal vendettas which only they and their deluded followers care about.

I think it is a very worthwhile exercise to discover who was there.
Even if all it does is shine a light on hypocrisy and double standards.
I would be interested to see, for example which political party had the largest share of attendees, what proportion of cabinet were in attendance. Call me petty if it helps, but I am curious.
How those trusted to run the country behave is, in my opinion an important window into how they view their relationship with the general population.

It might seem small and relatively pointless but if we’ve learnt anything over the years from political corruption investigations its that the politicians caught breaking small rules tend to be the same ones breaking bigger rules too. It shows a certain mindset of thinking themselves above _any_ rules.

So I’d personally like to know who exactly attended too.

FG and FF have never had less support. The last election broke the FG v FF dichotomy. The more that comes out about corruption, the less likely it’ll be that they win the next general election.

Phil Hogan lost his job last year thanks to public outcry over something very similar to this. Katherine Zappone has lost her made up job over this. Its rare, and takes good investigative work from journalists, but there can be consequences to actions.

It would be good to use the same tool to ask many a different question – on non whip controlled issues

I love the militant FG bots are out in force across all comment sections, shows the concern this is raising.

they’d a senator on last night programmed to repeat ‘lawful’ over and over to prove they’ve entirely missed the point.

Next discovery, what was the event for, and who paid for it?
Tax funded cronyvirus celebration for KZ to aire and grace about, with the very minister who had businesses closed and restricted while he ignored calls for clarity on the rules.
