Via The Sun:

A FA Youth Cup match had to be called off last night after a player suffered a “cardiac arrest” on the pitch. Fans were asked to leave the game between West Bridgford FC Colts and Boston United after the horror incident. Witnesses claimed the player was given “multiple” shocks from a defibrillator, but remained unresponsive.

What has a youth having a cardiac arrest got to do with that video? Is every health issue caused by the vaccine?

    Give over.

    1. GiggidyGoo

I think it’s the later link to Professor Van-Tam who administered the vaccine to the Boston United players back in July is the connection Bodger is making.

      1. Cian

The youngster was a member of West Bridgford Colts squad, not a Boston United player… according to the other link.

  2. Conksi

Sure why dont you take some utter tragedy and make it fit your argument there

    kermit, miss piggy, fozie bear

  3. CelticTiger

This failed attempt to link the young mans heart attack with vaccinations is a new low for Bodger. Show some respect for this young man and his family and stop trying to confuse readers.

    1. Nigel

New? This is at least the third time they’ve speculatively linked people’s health problems or deaths to the vaccine, maybe fourth?

  4. Cui Bono?

    Good video.

Hopefully parents will see beyond the propaganda and look at the risk/benefit data and choose not to vaccinate their children for covid.

    1. SB

Because no-one ever died until this vaccine came on the scene. Sudden Cardiac Death in young people has been a hoax conspiracy perpetuated by the establishment for years because they knew the vaccine chips would be coming

      1. Cui Bono?

        What are you on about?

Using your illogic you could say no-one ever died until covid came on the scene.

    1. Pat

Even the tabs use some basic form of journalism in fairness. Bodger’s daily barrage of antivaxx posts employ no research and no journalism. Bodger never states his case or sets out any reasoning, He only insinuates so he never has to apologise.

      Smug, safe, smarmy. and cowardly.

      Good times.

      1. Bodger

Pat, I believe the vaccines are extremely dangerous. Incidents like the one above are happening around the world to healthy, young people. If this is not vaccine related I will retract and apologise.

        1. Nigel

This is a breathtakingly unethical approach to even the low journalistic expectations of a news aggregator.

          1. Pookakie

95% of people in US hospitals with covid at the moment are unvaccinated. How do you just continue to close your eyes to the obvious?

          2. Nigel

Ah, this is the ‘Q’ version of panic, which is indistinguishable from people being aghast at the daft things you’re saying.

            ‘And if I’m right?’

It will be because even a stopped clock is right twice a day, which is still beating your average by a good margin. if you keep linking random dearhs to the vaccine, it’s not beyond the bounds of possibility that sooner or later you will stumble on a death that is, in fact, linked to the vaccine. It will not prove you right in the same way that Jeffrey Epstein being an abuser did not actually prove Pizzagate was right, but that won’t stop you pretending it does.

          3. Bodger

No Nigel, If I am right and you are wrong, we’ll never see you again. You will spend the rest of your life rationalising to yourself your insignificant but annoying role in this horror show.

          4. Nigel

Is this about proving the vaccine is a crime against humanity or about proving me wrong? Because if you’re holding back on my account, don’t bother. After all, you still haven’t proven that Hilary Clinton’s campaign was ordering child sex slaves from the basement of a pizza parlour or that Trump won the election. I certainly hope you haven’t refrained because you’re worried I might stop commenting here if you do.

          5. Bodger

Nigel, you don’t realise but I wish very much that you are right. That this was all for the public health and the vaccines are safe and effective.

          1. Sten

@Bodger – but you’ve absolutely no evidence for that belief. It’s just completely spurious.

Can you not see that what you’re doing lacks credibility and is the worse kind of spreading muck and hoping some sticks? It’s exactly the type of behaviour I guess that you abhor from others with opposing views to you.

          2. Nigel

Unless your questioning of ‘mainstream narratives’ is being done in such a way as to undermine the public good and promote malicious actors. Then you’re being wrong AND an accessory to evil.

          3. Bodger

I’ll take my chances and live with the consequences. Could you guys say the same knowing what you have done? I doubt it.

          4. Bodger

Doesn’t make sense. If the mainstream narrative is to conceal the damage caused by vaccines then how could my undermining their efforts be evil?

          5. D

Being wrong is unfortunately being an accessory to evil, and that’s why people are complaining about you. You should talk to a medical professional about the vaccine instead of intentionally misleading people.

          6. SOQ

Bodger posted a link to a number of medical professions but because they are not the sort of medical professionals you agree with- then they don’t count?

There are plenty of experts of both side of this argument and if you can only see one side then you really aren’t looking very hard.

          7. D

SOQ, it’s as if you cannot count. Can you put into numbers the experts on “either side”? Go talk to your local medical professional. If you get advice you don’t like, continue to seek more, locally. Rather than playing quack hunt on the internet.

          8. Nigel

‘Could you guys say the same knowing what you have done?’

What have we done other than find you and other pandemic truthers unpersuasive and lacking solid evidence in your assertions and insinuations?

‘If the mainstream narrative is to conceal the damage caused by vaccines then how could my undermining their efforts be evil?’

‘If’ doing all the heavy lifting there.

          9. SOQ

I have spoke to my local medical professional actually- and he agrees with me. You seem to be under the misunderstanding that all GP’s agree with jabbing children and young people, many do not.

          10. D

OK, well if that’s the case and I’ve no reason to believe why not – good for you – if only more people would do the same – not naming names.
I’m not going to get into a quiz about age demographic, co morbidities and what not. Have a nice weekend.

I would ask you to make clear whether your GP thinks nobody should get the vaccine or just not a particular group, or even just not you specifically.

As I believe you are in the ‘people above a certain age should get it’ camp, but I may be mistaken.

Ah I see your comment about children and young people, clear enough.

        2. scottser

seriously bodger, you should check first then post, you’re making a massive assumption here and assumptions are the mother of all f – ups. it’s also hugely disrespectful to that poor lad’s friends and family to be speculating on his cause of death to push an agenda.

        3. Slave to the Rhythm

Dangerous to who and how many and in what context though Bodger?

          Cars are dangerous, horses…

Even trees could be dangerous … if you eat too much of them at one sitting

Don’t fill your mouth so much…

PS Even if we don’t always agree, please know I do deeply respect your right to be an anti-establishment contrarian all the same, and I sort of feel sorry for people openly attacking you, it says more about them…please keep it up if that’s the way you truly feel…maybe think a little about my point as well though, yeah?

    1. George

You don’t even know if he was vaccinated.

Christian Eriksen had a heart attack during a football match. He wasn’t vaccinated.

      1. George

The inclusion of a link to an article about Boston United senior players being vaccinated is particularly sloppy as this was a youth match and the player who had the medical emergency played for the other club.

    FACEBOOKWHATSAPP
SINGAPORE – Two patients suffering from serious side effects related to the Covid-19 vaccine have each received the highest payout of $225,000 in government financial aid so far, said the Ministry of Health (MOH).

One of them is a 16-year-old boy who suffered a cardiac arrest after his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. The boy is currently undergoing inpatient rehabilitation.

“The Tier 1 payout of $225,000 has been extended to a total of two applicants so far, including this case,” an MOH spokesman told The Straits Times late at night on Monday (Aug 16).

The spokesman did not provide details of the second case and whether it was related to the Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty vaccine.

Under the Vaccine Injury Financial Assistance Programme (VIFAP) rolled out earlier this year, a one-time payout will be given to those who experienced medically significant serious side effects. This is to give a greater peace of mind for those taking Covid-19 vaccination.

MOH added that a total of of $782,000 has been paid out, or is in the process of being paid out, to 144 applicants who have been assessed to have met the qualifying criteria for VIFAP.”

Goodbye Broadsheet, you have finally jumped the shark. Been visiting years on an almost daily basis, but the site has gone increasingly off the wall. I imagine I am not the only one tired of the anti-vaxx bs.

    1. Formerly known as @ireland.com

I am of the same mind. I have cancelled the once-great Melbourne paper, The Age, for celebrating the failure to beat the Delta variant. I am voting with my feet.

  7. SOQ

Ok I am not sure why the footballer incident is in the same post as the doctors speaking out. In my opinion the doctors should have had a post of their own.

At this point it is crucial that the general public know that not all doctors and medics agree with the vaccination of children or young people. And, you can be certain that for every doctor or medic speaking out- there is plenty more who feel the same but cannot.

    1. Bodger

Point, There are now more 13,000 vaccine-related deaths on the American VAERS adverse reaction reporting system, which only records a fraction of incidents.

          1. Nigel

‘Did they die with the vaccine or from the vaccine.’

And that’s dodging, or rather avoiding, the answer.

UNMUTUAL – two (maybe) in Japan is not 13,000 in the US.

‘It is not known if the men died because their vaccines were contaminated.’

          1. Nigel

We have the entire scientific satdndards and safety apparatus of the western world working on our behalf. Not perfect, as no work of man is perfect, but it’s better than a series of unverified uncorroborated reports on an open website or posting stories that randomly correlates vaccines and deaths with no actual causative link.

        1. SOQ

What we do know Nigel is that from pervious vaccine injuries- of which these are 30x more- that VAERS grossly under represents to total amount.

It is first and foremost an early warning system but there is another 5 feeding into the US government and even if they are just the same as VAERs- which historically has not been the case, they have been way more- then the these vaccine injuries and fatalities will set a new record.

          Absolutely criminal.

          1. Nigel

We, of course, do not know this at all. This is empty speculation on your part with nothing to back it up. When the data hase been verified and studied we will know the extent of injuries and deaths caused by vaccines, which will almost certainly be non-zero, but until then, you are lying.

          2. SOQ

‘We’ KNOW from previous reporting of vaccine injuries that VAERS has been a fraction of the overall totals reported.

Just because that does not suit your narrative does not make it untrue. People are getting injured and people are dying in numbers never seen before, and that is even before the medium and long term implications become apparent.

          3. Nigel

Just becasue it proves your narrative doesn’t make it true. My narrative is that the data you are referring to is unverified and uncorroborated. This is, in fact, the truth of the matter, not even in dispute. You are using unverified and uncorroborated data to ‘prove’ your narrative. Which makes you wrong.

          4. SOQ

The European and UK equivalents are reports by medics only but you won’t accept them either eh? You are sailing down da-nile.

      1. Cian

13,000 ‘alleged’ deaths from vaccine (from 205 million people vaccinated).
        Versus
640,000 recorded deaths from Covid (from ??? million infected people – max 328 million)

          1. Nigel

The fact that you can’t grasp it should make you leery of utilising data that you think proves whatever point it is you’re trying to make.

  8. duncan

I suggest that many of these negative comments about verified cases of death by vaccine are due to people being angry/frightened because either they themselves have been vaccinated only to be told that they are still able to acquire Covid and also give it to others. Deep breath, or they have had their kids vaccinated. If I had my son vaccinated I would be kicking myself on hearing there’s better outcomes for the young acquiring Covid than the new and not fully tested vaccines. Shoot the messinger

tom2 scares me a lot more than Bodger does with his silly little posts about COVID on a rather obscure but otherwise mostly excellent quality website

tom2, have a think about what you just wrote there please and when you have a chance to reflect on it, please offer us all an apology for having to read such unpleasantness.

  10. TheFerg

Bodger, you could have put an op-ed together to express your views instead of speculating on this tragedy.
It’s shameful, and I really hope you get your head together and apologise.
    It’s utterly indefensible.

  11. H

I really hope the moderators / owners of broadsheet arent allowing this for the clickbait

bodger has gone down a deep dark hole and needs to take a break from arguing with people online

everyone has been close to breaking point during pandemic,

I’m not even saying he’s wrong or disagreeing, but it reads like the full stop is coming

      1. ben

The pandemic has effected everyones mental health. I have friends & neighbours who have gone down these nonsensical conspiracy holes. (There is no journalism or merit in these posts, thus the suggestion of a boycott) Please try an recognise, Bodger & SOQ that you may have been effected by the pandemic and that your mental health may need to be attended too. Recognition is the first step to recovery, just consider it for a moment. Don’t write it off.

          1. Ben

Would that be your most sensitive reply to a genuine comment about the mental well being of yourself? Childish reply and unfortunately you are writing it off. I hope you find peace with this issue. Goodbye Broadsheet, for 7 years you’ve been on my bookmarks bar. I enjoyed your niche local coverage, some decent indepth political analysis, with a dash of arts and playing Sherlock with stolen bicycles. What you’re doing here is wrong and causing real damage. I do not wish Goodluck with it but I do wish you well.

          2. WittyName

I agree Ben, Broadsheet has been my daily site when needing a break. Now I need a break from BS’s B.S.

        1. duncan

Don’t be so patronizing. Just because you seem unable to allow another, whose site and opinions you are reading, to voice what is for him a serious concern. Putting ones neck on the line online is a serious step and never taken lightly. The amount of sheer anger and certainty given out about this post is surprising to me. Every argument here can be reversed. How do you know a captured media can be relied on to tell truth? Which scientist does one believe? The tenured and government employed? whom all have skin in the game. Look at the data, without prejudice and the numbers appear on Bogers side with regard to deaths by mainly the Mrna vaccine all from verifiable state bodies. Look ’em up yourself and stop asking people to provide links, as if it’s some sort of deal breaker. You lot make me annoyed.

      2. Slave to the Rhythm

unreal, but you know you’ve often done exactly the same here soq – on several occasions, you are really not one to point fingers on this sort of issue now to be fair

    1. Janet, dreams of an alternate universe

why do I feel the so longs with all the new names are the same person, now there’s a conspiracy theory for ya ;)
