If it was a race between Ireland getting a win under Stephen Kenny and Bodger getting both AZ jabs administered by Dr Leo Varadkar and a booster shot courtesy of Tony Holohan then obviously Bodger would be the clear winner …

Wishing death on someone you disagree with? Malevolence runs dark and deep and now it is yours for you to keep.

The ‘signal app’ excuse being pushed to try give Coveney some cover – if he tries to use that as an explanation then that leads to a lot more questions.

The main appeal of Signal is the end-to-end encryption that means no one can intercept and read your messages. That includes hackers, Apple and Google, government and law enforcement agencies, and anyone working at Signal itself.

Mushroom Michéal then tells us all will be revealed about Zapponegate next week. That coming from the fellow who wasn’t considered important enough to be told in the first place. They’re going to give the background information to him now?

What’s the short version (won’t be watching it)? Who killed Molloy? How was Brian Lenihan Snr. involved?

I’d just like to say that it’s lovely to hear the Church Bells again today.
I love that sound… so much.

… socially distant so far, and they lack a lot of melody, but it takes time to get to know the ropes when you’re a bit rusty.

NORMALITY is on it’s way back, with bells on it!

Also, why are ALL pigeons the same size?
You never see a small one or a big one.

..and why cant you catch one?

      They’re up to something…

    Interesting story from China.

Feihe, China’s largest infant formula maker, said sales would drop sharply in the next one to two years since many women cannot bear children within six months of coronavirus vaccination – and thus delaying births.

    https://crywnews.com/business/market-close-mainfreight-chairman-bruce-plested-sells-75-million-worth-of-shares/

It’s not known if that delay is due to health advice or just people making the decision for themselves but if a business is factoring it into their forecasts then pretty certain it is true.

    hardly any posts – amazing

Has Bodger just killed the golden goose? (no need to answer that Bodger ;)

Overdoses from anti-parasite drug ivermectin overwhelm rural Oklahoma hospitals – leaving gunshot victims waiting for emergency rooms

Dr Jason McElyea, a physician from Sallisaw, Oklahoma in the Southeast of the state, told Oklahoma City’s KFOR that hospitals in his region are being clogged with patients overdosing on ivermectin after using the drug to treat COVID-19.

    1. SOQ

Except- Northeastern Hospital System Sequoyah issued a statement:

“Although Dr. Jason McElyea is not an employee of NHS Sequoyah, he is affiliated with a medical staffing group that provides coverage for our emergency room. With that said, Dr. McElyea has not worked at our Sallisaw location in over 2 months. NHS Sequoyah has not treated any patients due to complications related to taking ivermectin. This includes not treating any patients for ivermectin overdose.”

      A hit piece so.

          1. SOQ

Yes well if it was the other way around, pretty sure you’d be from of the queue with it eh? The same fraudulent activity occurred with hydroxychloroquine of course.

Vaccines still work do they Cian? Except Israel and Iceland currently have the highest infection rates in the world and- now talk of a FORTH injection?

…my comment yesterday was cancelled (BS SEZ: we don’t ‘cancel’ comments and no comment of yours was moderated or deleted yesterday) but I’ll try it again today in the hope that it’s a different moderator (BS SEZ: it isn’t) …all I said was that you would want to be pretty scared of needles if you were prepared to administer a horse wormer treatment to yourself rather than an approved remedy that millions have taken…

    1. SOQ

The Japanese scientist Satoshi Omura has recently received the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine for his discovery of ivermectin more than 30 years ago. Invermectin is best known for its extraordinarily broad spectrum of activity against nematodes, the roundworms that cause a large proportion of the most common neglected diseases on our planet. It is used to treat millions of people at risk of contracting devastating diseases, such as onchocerciasis and lymphatic filariasis, and also plays an important role in the control of intestinal helminth infections. Because of its excellent safety profile and broad spectrum of activity, ivermectin is catalogued by the World Health Organisation as an essential medicine and is regarded by many as a “magic bullet” for global health.

As you well know it is not just a horse wormer- but keep up the pharma shilling eh?

        1. SOQ

My response was to the slant from the hill of Daisy that it was just an animal product.

Now if you knew you are stepping up from a cold to something very serious and your doctor recommended Ivermectin- would you take it Cian?

Genuine question- please do not waffle like Nigel.

          1. Nigel

The real question is if you were so dead set aganst the vaccine and so in favour of Ivermectin would you, unable to get a prescription for a more appropriate form and dose, go down to the agricultural shop and buy some Ivermectin intended for horses and take a dose?

          2. Cian

Silly question. If you are implying she would recommend it against Covid.
Why would my GP recommend it?
            She is a sensible person.

Unless I had a cold AND roundworm.

          3. Daisy Chainsaw

I never said it was just an animal product. The version antivax loons are taking is because reputable doctors aren’t prescribing the human version because you don’t take wormer for a virus.

Do you think there ever might come a day when you guys say to yourself “Hmm.maybe I really was part of a kind of mass psychosis”? “Why was I spending time online repeating propaganda about Ivermectin – as if it only had the potential for one use – and attacking those who were trying to raise awareness about it?”

It doesn’t take much investigation to see that Ivermectin already has demonstrated itself to be a multi-purpose drug. For example, there’s compelling evidence that it’s an effective treatment in regards to various forms of cancer. And prior to the Covid era, it had already been established as a potent antiviral that inhibited the replication of Porcine circovirus.

From the US National Library of Medicine website:

        https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5835698/ (published Feb 2018)
“The multitargeted drug ivermectin: from an antiparasitic agent to a repositioned cancer drug”

“(Ivermectin) has been used by millions of people around the world exhibiting a wide margin of clinical safety. In this review, we summarize the in vitro and in vivo evidences demonstrating that ivermectin exerts antitumor effects in different types of cancer…”

        https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25143352/ (published Oct 2014)
“The river blindness drug Ivermectin and related macrocyclic lactones inhibit WNT-TCF pathway responses in human cancer ”

“Given that Ivermectin is a safe anti-parasitic agent used by > 200 million people against river blindness, our results suggest its additional use as a therapeutic WNT-TCF pathway response blocker to treat WNT-TCF-dependent diseases including multiple cancers. ”

        https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30658073/ (published April 2019)
“Ivermectin treatment inhibits the replication of Porcine circovirus 2 (PCV2) in vitro and mitigates the impact of viral infection in piglets ”

“These results established for the first time that ivermectin has potent antiviral activity towards PCV2 both in vitro and vivo. ”

        https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8383101/ (published Sep 2021)

“Ivermectin: a multifaceted drug of Nobel prize-honoured distinction with indicated efficacy against a new global scourge, COVID-19”

        1. Nigel

The cheek of you asking us if we’ll some day wonder if we were part of a mass psychosis, when pandemic truthers in the US are making themselves sick by taking Ivermectin specifically designed and intended for animal use. You can prate all day about its wonderful multiple uses, but the fact is people are so determined to reject the ‘covid narrative’ that they’re taking this stuff, not Ivermectin intended for human use, but Ivermectin intended for animal use and you’re partaking of the mass psychosis by pretending you don’t know that’s what’s being referred to.

          1. f_lawless

It should be blatantly obvious to anyone not stuck in the Covid groupthink that this is a form of propaganda designed to steer public discourse away from focusing on the ample amount of evidence regarding Ivermectim as an early treatment for Covid. ie “Look was these fools in America did by taking Ivermectin intended for animals. Don’t be like the fools taking the animal dewormer”.

The fact is the Covid vaccines have already caused a huge number of adverse reactions and deaths. They now have a safety profile like no other vaccine roll out in history. Many people are aware of this. The fact is there has been a concerted campaign by corrupted regulatory institutions to resist authorising alternative treatments to Covid so that the vaccines would gain eligibility for emergency use authorisation. If some people have been driven to desperation by using Ivermectin in a form intended for animals, then this is a sad indictment of the medical authorities and professionals who ban it and refuse to prescribe it to their patients

          2. Nigel

You call things blatantly obvious, facts, and sad indictments of medical authorities that are not obvious at all, not facts, and sad indictments of the right-wing politicisation of the pandemic and pandemic responses. Oddly enough, two (vaccinated) leaders of that movement of politicisation, Trump and DeSantis, didn’t take Ivermectin as a treatment when they caught covid, but Regneron. These grifters know batter than to drink their own snake-oil.

          3. chris

The cheek of you to have the audacity to advice others when there’s nearly 100 peer reviewed studies and real time data from both India and Africa as to the effectiveness of Invermectim. Arrogance doesn’t even begin to describe your position. Wafting in the smell of your own farts would be a closer analogy.

          4. f_lawless

You’re really hook, line and sinker, deep in this. I can see there’s no point in trying to reason with you.The type of guy you might see on stage at a Paul McKenna gig making love to a chair or braying like a donkey ;)

Motive is strong on this one

          Kate was always Simon’s girl
and spent a Dáil term on the backbenches for it
and humiliation in her own constituency branch

and there’s the news that another ex FG lady, also shafted by Leo, is doing a tell all with another publisher

          so there’s that
and that’s a lot of that actually

          btw I’m a huge fan of Kate’s
don’t share her politics but she could have been a great addition to the last Government
a one that got away I suppose, she would have been a savage Minister for Health instead of Harris,
          and ye all know it

fair enough Kate might think Leo heading off to see Whigfield is tone deaf
But Simon Coveney wouldn’t dream of ever been seen in a field with outdoor loos
          and turds of vomit,
Point-to-Points and the Ploughing don’t count versus a weekend festival with glowsticks and glitter and funny sunglasses

The Inferiority Complex is strong on this one
And Simon Coveney would want to slow it down a bit

That snobby langer will out spin himself
and pictures of him spending a weekend on a Bilderburgers Super Yacht with chopper pad will undo him with the very people in the party
the Grassroots, that are his only hope now

To be very honest about all this
I’m actually impressed that Leo Varadkar went over to do a bitta
dee dee na na na …. Saturday night …..I feel the air is getting hot
Instead of sitting a home worrying about what the neighbours might be saying about his scruffy lawn

If Leo is to be criticised at all – tis over his fashion sense
Jesus he can’t dress himself at all can he?

          1. Johnny

Kate from the country, did this all by herself, she’s an arriviste with airs and graces, acquired via a let’s be honest, she’s so outta his league marriage, she’s a little new in the area for all the pomp and ceremony…whining and grandstanding in the sindo,it’s senior hurling around here your welcome Kate, any sign that needle exchange or medical cannabis that she also opposed….
