At The End Of A Storm

This afternoon.

Anfield Talk, a popular Liverpool FC website, published a well argued and very reasonable article by journalist Ester (@klopptimistic) on the depressing lack of ambition shown by American-based owners Fenway Sports Group towards the club during the summer transfer window just closed. The result was a barrage of online personal abuse from FSG fanboys (also known as “top reds”) which forced the young journalist to take her twitter account private.

Woman on internet has opinion. Gets hounded off it by men who take criticism of stuff they like personally.

…yank predatory capital, corporation sucks at running’ English’ soccer club, go figure.

I’ve only ever went a few soccer matches, rovers or bohs,my grandfather used bring me,a great day out,but i just never got into the English clubs, now arabs and yanks…..PE mostly.

now a day at the track, went to a tri county fair yesterday, they had a big yellow school bus (schoolie) demolition derby, now that’s loud, but one the best days I had recently was singing ,fifty more years,FIFTY MORE YEARS for it felt like hours and hours….you just gotta luv those English soccer days.

ok, ok rovers ownership over the years, ain’t exactly winning any management awards, alright, but really why does anyone care about ‘English (yank private equity) soccer,in Ireland ?

Look at the trophies Liverpool have won since they bought the club.

I think FSG are ready to sell up, hence the lack of recent investment.
