        Ridiculous defence.

She is enamoured by power and wealth – like many who have gone before her and like many who are to come.

Horrible trait that destroys all the gifts she obviously possesses.

True humility and charity are gifts that truly come from Above.

I wasn’t defending her generally, rather letting her off the hook on the Dubai fiasco for which she apologised.

Dunno if anyone saw her on Ch4 news the other night
but I called it a car crash at the time – ok not a total write off, but for her t’was as she’s so controlled, and fixed into the same gear all the time

t’was almost like she thought she was at a different conference
You know like when a lead singer says – how’ye all Cardiff and he’s in Salthill

She obviously pulled herself together overnight, read her notes and did her homework
but see if ye can get in on the player

Was that the one she did live from Glasgow with Matt Frei? I thought she did okay, conceded that criticism from Greta is helpful and reiterated the conference aims. She’s never been the most compelling speaker but I thought she held her own.

    Mary Mary Quite Contrary!
To some Mary Robinson may be a hero, but her silence about the Gas Pipeline & Plant in Erris is an unforgivable fatal flaw. Environmental Justice for the world but not for Mayo! If she’d shown such conviction and supported Shell to Sea years ago, the world might be a different place. But no…

Environmental Justice for the World but not for Rossport and Kilcommon. Robinson watched silently as Erris became an environmental sacrifice area.

Will Mary Robinson ever admit her betrayal of Shell to Sea? Local issues are global! Local injustice is global injustice!
