Take Their PUPs

at

The unjabbed should not be entitled to a Pandemic Unemplyment Payment (PUP), says Professor Dermot Cox of the Royal College of Surgeons

This morning.

Via Irish Times:

While there may be short-term benefits in a compulsory vaccination for Sars-CoV-2, in the long-term it may undermine the other important vaccination programmes that we have.

People have a right to maintain the confidentiality of their health record and to refuse to receive any medication or treatment no matter how illogical the reason, but society also has a right/obligation to protect itself.

The classic example is smoking. People have a right to smoke but society has insisted that they cannot do it in work, restaurants, public transport etc. Furthermore, we require them to make a financial contribution to their future care in the form of a heavy tax on cigarettes.

Just as with smokers, society has the right to protect itself from infection with Sars-CoV-2 by isolating those who refuse to disclose their vaccine status.

Furthermore, they should not be entitled to the pandemic employment payment as they are not contributing to the fight against Covid-19.

People have a right to dine in a restaurant without being exposed to cigarette smoke or being infected with Sars-CoV-2.

  1. Cui Bono?

Prof Dermot Cox is a disgrace to humanity. Many of us said this would happen last year and here we have an idiot asking for it.

What an ignorant brainwashed fool he is. An authoritarian, unscientific, irrational, illogical, data denying, fear mongerer.

He is unaware that the vaccinated are spreading covid. Being covid vaccine free is a normal human state to be in and does not mean we have covid.

There’s 1000s and 1000s of doctors and scientists speaking the truth, risking their careers, and then there’s Prof Dermot Cox.

    1. E'Matty

At least these fools are all on public record now. When the scandals of the child abusing RCC or the Mother and Baby homes for example, were exposed, those ditectly involved and those collaborating largely slipped under the radar. Now we have a proper digital record of every person who has played a part in progressing this psychotic agenda. Holding them to account in the future will be made easier. These people must be recognised for their disgusting behaviour in a time of crisis.

  2. eamonn

why not find a few witches to burn while you are at it.
    starve ’em into submission,
    freeze ’em into submission

    furthermore…..
“People have a right to dine in a restaurant without being exposed to cigarette smoke or being infected with Sars-CoV-2”.
the people serving/cooking your food are not obliged to be vaccinated.

      1. E'Matty

But it most certainly is transmitted by the fully vaccinated this rendering Prof Cox’s contribution utterly irrelevant and unwarranted.

  3. Gavin

“by isolating those who refuse to disclose their vaccine status”….so as someone whos vaccinated I’d fall into this group as I wouldn’t subscribe to this nonsense.

  4. AC

The Doctor should stick to his chemistry set and leave public policy to others. Its obviously not his area of expertise.

      1. Daisy Chainsaw

I love the way Grift/Youth Defence is now a legitimate source for antivaxxers. Any old racist, far right port in a storm, eh?

        1. SOQ

I am surprised there is any space left in your head with all the grudges you hold. You do understand the concept of single issue politics I take it? Gript backed up their statement with a linked document.

          http://iscpchina.ie/thematic-research-areas-2/dr-dermot-cox

It is true- he works with the Chinese- maybe he could consider moving there? Then he wouldn’t have those pesky civil rights people to deal with.

          1. Daisy Chainsaw

They backed up a statement? Really?

            Oooh!

Well done for pimping serious churnalism by hate group Youth Defence!

          2. Daisy Chainsaw

The source does. You’re parroting far right hate sites like Grift/Youth Defence so obviously truth doesn’t matter to you!

          3. SOQ

So the source is more important than the truth then.

If mainstream journalist were doing their jobs there would be no vacuum to be filled- but they are not, so others will.

          4. Micko

Ah now Daisy. You were only accusing me of attacking the source of a story two days ago.

“Poor Micko. You can’t attack the story so you attack the source.” said Daisy Chainsaw – literally two elfin days ago.

But when YOU do it on SOQ it’s all good.

            https://www.broadsheet.ie/2021/12/07/one-million-boosters/#comment-2375865

Maybe we should all just agree that there’s biased media in every camp and not believe everything we read without critical analysis and try deal with the issue contained within the story, rather then who said it.

            Seem fair?

          5. Daisy Chainsaw

And in slurps SOQpuppet’s right hand sycophant….

My source was from a legitimate, verifiable source. SOQy’s was from a rightwing hate site. But because it’s a rightwing hate site that’s antivaxx, you support and amplify its hate. https://tinyurl.com/5ap7dys2

          6. SOQ

Your problem is- my link and the claim within, are entirely verifiable.

That you don’t like Gript is neither here nor there, because it is the truth- he works with, and at least partly funded by, the Chinese.

          7. Micko

            Yes yes Daisy.

We’re all puppets in “Big Fash’s” global agenda to take over the world. And only YOU and your rag tag bunch of elite freedom fighters can stop them. (in your head)

            FREEEEEEDOM FORCE!!!!

“My source was from a legitimate, verifiable source” Cool – who verified it then?

Come on Daisy, you’re basically saying “My biased media is better than your biased media. ”

or to put it a better way…

Too many. And they have lots of useful idiots who turn up at the rallies they organise to give them legitimacy.

          2. SOQ

It is the modern day equivalent of McCarthy and his ‘reds under the bed’ Micko- except now, it is inverted.

          3. Micko

            Ah Daisey “ useful idiots”?

Well, I’m sure with that attitude, you’re definitely on the road to convince those “ useful idiot” type people to come over to your side.

            That is the goal right?

To stop these far right people gaining more followers and to welcome them with open arms to the left?

            Sure it is.

        2. Daisy Chainsaw

Why did you quote Grifter/Youth Defence? Do you follow a known right wing hate group on social media? If so, why do you follow a known right wing hate group?

This argument of seatbelts and smoking keeps getting rolled as if they are a valid comparison. They are not, we are talking about something which can’t be reversed and could possibly do you damage. Seatbelts as far as I’m aware don’t do actual harm and can be unbuckled and you can return to smoking if you wish, also we have never in the past suggested removing people from society or limiting their access to public services for refusing to follow the rules on either of these. This is a drastic change to the society that could have huge negative knock-on effects, but it’s being approached as if it’s a simple black and white issue that only affects issues around COVID…the man’s a moron.

Maintaining ones natural state of being i.e.unmedicated and healthy, is rapidly becoming unlawful and subject to discrimination and societal exclusion. This is a challenge to our fundamental rights as human beings and must be opposed vigorously.

    1. Sunburnt in Winter

When everyone is dead from the vaccine you will have the place to yourself. Didn’t you learn any patience as a child.

      1. E'Matty

Don’t be silly. They will turn all of the States power against us soon and we need to meet it head on and with all means available. If we’re going out, we won’t be going alone.

        1. Sunburnt in Winter

If you are going out where? I thought they wouldnt let you in anywhere.
Oh, sorry are you talking about forming a militia?

Breakthrough infections involved the same peak viral load but it reduces much quicker in the vaccinated meaning that they do not have the same viral load overall. So in the case of infected vaccinated people the risk of transmission is lower. The vaccines also reduce infection.

“They absolutely do reduce transmission,” says Christopher Byron Brooke at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. “Vaccinated people do transmit the virus in some cases, but the data are super crystal-clear that the risk of transmission for a vaccinated individual is much, much lower than for an unvaccinated individual.”

    1. SOQ

Le Page finally gets around to waning in the last paragraph and then argues in favour of boosters- which is an admittance that over any time period, people become more infectious.

Point one made by Maajid above- from The Spectator: ‘In every age group over 30 in the UK, the rates of Covid infection per 100,000 are now higher among the vaxxed than the unvaxxed.’

      1. George

“Point one made by Maajid above- from The Spectator: ‘In every age group over 30 in the UK, the rates of Covid infection per 100,000 are now higher among the vaxxed than the unvaxxed.”

Do you think that unvaccinated people who are close contacts and have no symptoms or mild symptoms get tests at the same rate as the vaccinated? Because I don’t.

        1. SOQ

People have to take tests for all sorts of reason nowadays and, antigen is used way more than here. In the other parts of the UK meaning NI, Scotland and Wales, all have a provision for testing instead of vaccination passports.

And, Scotland is moving towards testing everyone irrespective of their vaccination status which is the most common sense idea so far.

    2. Gavin

Even accepting that it helps reduce transmission, without getting into the details of for how long…its hardly a valid reason for what Dermot Cox is suggesting

      1. George

I said nothing about Dermot Cox’s article. I was responding to the tweet claiming to debunk Andrew Neil’s piece by using unscientific speculation from Lionel Shriver.

  9. kieran laffan

matt cooper stated this the other day. the virus ,not being able to effect vacinated adults, decided ,yes decided to go after children ,explaining, the upsurge in child cases. thats what were up against.

    1. George

We’re up against people who argue in bad faith by choosing to take things literally which clearly aren’t meant to be taken literally. Desperate.

There is not a snowball’s chance in hell that the government would adopt such policies. Their approval ratings are already tanked or falling in the polls , and such a move, would have a serious negative affect on them with no real positive upside.
This is just kite flying to gauge public opinion, what is more likely is some EU level law requiring mandatory vaccination. The EU president hinted that they have to look at this, once again gauging public reaction.
Cutting off access to PUP is effectively mandatory vaccination by the back door. However, governments around the world know that if they push reasonable people too far, eventually, they could push back in a very unreasonable way. And there would be much less public outrage.
The coming months are going to be tasty!

The PUP is only there because the government has wrecked the economy for no decent reason. Hardly seems fair to bully the people suffering from the governments ineptitude with yet more of their nonsense. I could see that as massively unpopular move, but maybe something like this will wake people from their slumber.

Slowly we will see the negative affects of all the shots and boosters, heads should roll for the damage being done.

They don’t want to know Sailor- they are so wedded to the official narrative that anything which questions it is considered subversive- even if it comes from front line medical experts like Dr. Ryan N. Cole.

    2. Chris

Being kicked off PUP is a good thing. More people outside of the system means more people seeing it for what it is. The PUP scheme was just naming peoples price to stay home and ignore what is going on.

        1. Chris

Callous & premeditated. It will be the same for business that took supports for staying closed, everyone but the 0.0001% will lose their shirts. Big fish eat the little ones.

    Evening Daisy

You honestly think that people pretending to be in power give a hoot Irish people?
They need to be reminded that they are there at our whim, and can be be voted out, for independents that have our countries interests at heart, as I see all the main stream parties as having integrity issues.
I will stand by my statement that acknowledged a report, I did not write, but I think could be grim worst case scenario if the cull on this island is allowed to succeed.
This is a multi facetted assault upon normal people in Ireland by a cabal, international in nature, with the full weight of the media behind them.
My question to you is, can you be swayed, if I show you, via the power of the interwebs, that we have been lied to, or are you so entrenched in the system that common sense will not prevail?
Two very binary questions and I look forward to your reply.
    Rest well.

    1. Daisy Chainsaw

There is nothing you can show me that will lead me to believing it possible that Irish people are going to die in their millions in the next 5 years.
