      Is the stairway the ‘boardwalk’?
      If not, then no. First time there so I just followed the gravel road that lead to the Boardwalk over the big and up the side of Cuilcagh.
      We took our time, taking about 3 hrs… Having a few sangers at the top before descending.

      Anyway… If there is a ‘stairway’ please do let me know, for the next outing, thanks!

        Yeah. The wooden steps leading to the summit of Cuilcagh are often referred to as ‘the stairway to Heaven’. Extra info: It was constructed by a company called Anderson who seem to specialise in developing walking trails. Fingal County council employed them to develop the walks around Howth Head. The hiking purists are not overjoyed with their work. I think they make the hikes more accessible for many people.
        I reckon the carpark at Cuilcagh is more lucrative for the farmer than his agriculture business?
