Nice One, My Sun

The results are in.

On Monday, with a ‘Big Hugs Gift Bundle’ from Dublin card and stationery start-up All Around The Sun on offer, we asked you for an example of ‘unconventional card sending’.

You replied in your tens.

But there could be only one winner.

Reader Paul grabs the gift bundle with this entry:

‘I would love to send a card/gift to my son to celebrate his continued efforts in being potty-trained by two exhausted parents. The poor blighter, he’ll get there in the end, big splash and cheers, hugs and celebrations!’

Well done, Paul and thanks all.

ah wow, thanks folks :) It’s been a rubbish week and this has given me a little spark for the weekend. Training progressing glacially but you can’t rush these things.

have you gone through the whole ‘feck it, they can stay in nappies until they’re teenagers’ phase?

the thought has crossed my mind of ‘he can logic his way through this when he’s a bit older‘ but apparently most non-immediate psyche referrals for kids these days are for long-term refusal to use the toilet. If it takes him another few weeks or months to refine his ‘process’ then so be it.

…then he runs off with a ‘tail’ and I doubt myself :)

that made me laugh – thanks indeed –
my advice; Just ask him to remain stationary until the process is complete –
    already left the building.

that’s happened :) We’re using books of a suitable length and he has to wait until the story is complete before hopping down.

Well done Paul. I feel your frustration. One of mine took three separate goes at potty training. Even his Granny, who is famous for her potty training skills, despaired.
Best of luck and well done.
