Stop that.
This afternoon.
Herbert Park, Dublin 4.
Flower enthusiasts Remya Balan from India, living in Galway, and Neyva Torrico from Bolivia go cherry blossom picking.
They come over here.
With their fancy shawls.
Nicking our blossoms.
Harrumph.
Any excuse.

The estate we moved to is lined with apple and cherry blossoms and it has just been so pretty for the past three weeks. The apple blossoms bloomed first and the cherry blossoms are just after coming out in full this week.
If the wind picks up, your tree lined estate will be petal lined, like a pretty pink snow, but they’re absolutely gorgeous in full bloom and I love that you can find them in urban settings.
…well done everyone…well done…
The trees are in full blossom in my estate, except, of course, for the one outside my house. It was heavily cut back a few years ago and is always late to join the parade
Fun fact: most of the trees are male. They decided not to mix them and avoid having the female trees fruit and cause a nuisance, needing to be cleaned up
Of course, as a result the male ones produce more pollen, which is a joy for us hay fever sufferers. If they did all female trees, they would not fruit without pollination, and also not produce pollen.
Love blossom time.
I’m hoping to re-pop my cherry blossom soon.

There’s a garden, gray-green
And cherry blossoms…”
