Kane Tanaka

A Japanese woman officially certified as the world’s oldest person has died aged 119.
Kane Tanaka was born in 1903, the same year as George Orwell, at a time when Japan was emerging as a global power.
She got married a century ago, and had four children. She spent her later years in a Japanese care home, where she enjoyed board games and chocolate.
With her death, the world’s oldest person is now Lucile Randon, a 118-year-old French nun.

Wow that’s some age.
Whenever I see stories of people who are centenarians, I alway think of this. ;-)

I would say the Irish government will fear anyone will reach that age because of the pension
Great lady and god bless her
1901 headline in a Galway newspaper might have read: JOHN MCDONOUGH IS AS GOOD AS THE JAPS.
It’s great to beat Japan at something, isn’t it?
not a lot of birth certs in Ireland back then so people were asked to remember a significant historical event and whether or not they were alive then to claim their pension. The French Fleet and Oíche na Gaoithe Móire were big ones. Plenty of 30 and 40 years olds claiming the pension at that time leads to a lot of people breaking 100 before their time. Cute hoors :)
Bet it was the vaxx…
