And I have been trying to find if mica and pyrite is banned in constructoion
      For the life of me
Loads of waffle but no ban
      Strange that
      Apparently it’s in concrete
I do not know but it absorbs and retains lots of water
I suppose it actually helps increasing the weight of concrete mixes and just like in the halal chicken scandal of protein powders used to help add loads of water and increase the weight
      More weight =more profit

BTW, they’re not late season lambs on the front page of the IT; they’re probably two months old – unless the ram had long-nosed bandicoot genes and swam from an obscure place in the Southern Hemisphere, with flippers and a surf board with a bronzed body and man-boobs?

    FAKE NEWS!

As I said before Russia’s Fireman Sergei is being kept busy – just a few isolated incidents of spontaneous combustion of course – no discernable pattern  – move on – nothing to see here ‘

The GRES-2 power plant in Sakhalin, Russia is on fire.

funny I don’t recall any such autoignitions at the Pigeon House – I recall the joke form Not the Nine O Clock Clock News – “Come home to a real fire – buy a holiday home in Wales” – could be applicable to Devon and Cornwall soon according to my Withnail and I chums in Perfidious Albion.

The long arm of US Sanctions and Immigration control – boxing is not my bag but interesting report of guilt by association reported on balls.ie – with besties like Kinahan etc…..

“It’s a massive weekend for Irish boxing. Katie Taylor will fight Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden Saturday night. After weeks of dismal news on the boxing front, it’s been wonderful to have Katie Taylor back in our lives this week to remind about the good side of the sport. However, the fallout to the US government sanctions against senior members of the Kinahan Organised Crime Group continues.
Today, Matt Lawton in the Times (UK) is reporting Matthew Macklin was not allowed to board a flight to the US this week because of his connections to Kinahan.

Lawton says Macklin was not the only boxing figure not allowed on the flight.
Macklin is a long-standing pundit for Sky Sports Boxing and was trying to board a plane to Las Vegas for Sky’s coverage of Shakur Stevenson and Óscar Valdez on Saturday night. Lawton says Macklin was turned back ‘on instruction of US authorities because of his past association with Kinahan’.
There has been a lot of scrutiny of Macklin’s continued work with Sky Sports, as Macklin and Kinahan were involved in founding MTK Sports and have each described the other as ‘best friends’.

Kinahan was once quoted in a Boxing Monthly article saying the following about Macklin:

“I only met him after the Jamie Moore fight in September 2006. He came over a week after the fight. I met him at the airport and from there we became friends. Matthew is probably my best friend.”

Ahead of the Tyson Fury fight last weekend, Sky Sports issued a statement to the media, backing Macklin. It said:

“Matt Macklin disposed of his stake in MTK in 2017. Since then, he has had no commercial dealings with Daniel Kinahan. Like everyone at Sky Sports, he will fully comply with the US sanctions.”

MTK was originally called MGM, meaning Macklin’s Gym Marbella. It was renamed MTK after Macklin’s nickname Mack The Knife. MTK Global announced it is ceasing operations tomorrow, the last day of April

hey Mad, tell us why it is acceptable to watch porn in the work place as an elected official in front of women. Clearly you have no idea re work place decorum. Have you ever worked?

        1. jonjoker

Make it illegal and then apply the law.
There are too many cases of people doing legal things (albeit unacceptable or unpleasant or offensive) and being hounded for it.
Or even doing nothing wrong, and being hounded for it –
Look for instance at the case on the front page of the Bel Tel, somebody’s life destroyed and the perpetrator gets a suspended sentence.

      2. anti bot

Hey Mad, your porn in work buddy, resigned. Any comment to make? No chance. You’re like most commentators on on here. Get called out and run away. ‍♂️

Shame about Boris. Probably has more real world personality than any of the modern games robot perfection. Djokovic is funny sometimes but Nadal and Federer have the visible personality of a shovel. Free the Becker 1 ,one of the more interesting men in tennis. (Ilie Nastasi aka nasty, wins that prize).

Chris A. Gillespie retired after a 35+ year career in sports medicine / college athletics. A leading authority on sickle cell trait in the athlete for more than 30 years. He is now studying effects of vaccine spike protein in athletes.

In this conversation with Dr. Peter McCullogh, he says there are similarities between the athlete vaccine injuries and the sickle cell trait. That it is like a pseudo sickle cell crisis and that nobody was even checking for such before administering the vaccines.

Sickle cell is one of a number of conditions which are being identified as having potential issues after vaccination- there is probably many more still to come.

    https://www.redvoicemedia.com/video/2022/04/the-impact-of-the-covid-vaccine-on-athletes-dr-mccullough-and-chris-gillespie-join-tommys-podcast-video/

As per usual it is left to the retirees or those who are finically independent to do the research on these things- but I suspect they are in some cases only the front for others who cannot be seen as to be involved. Such is the current climate of intimidation within the medical field.

Your links are gas, just got a pop-up advertising the newest and bestest automatic assault rifle to hit the American market. Would be handy to have one in fairness Such is the current climate of intimidation within the medical field.

Published just two days ago in Nature, vaccination rates are correlated with heart problems in Israel. This is what has been doing the rounds on the grapevine since last summer, now it’s confirmed by a study based on official statistics.

        https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-022-10928-z
Increased emergency cardiovascular events among under-40 population in Israel during vaccine rollout

“the findings raise concerns regarding vaccine-induced undetected severe cardiovascular side-effects and underscore the already established causal relationship between vaccines and myocarditis”
        and
“several studies established probable causal relationship between the messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines of BNT162b2 and mRNA-127311,14,15,16 as well as adenovirus (ChAdOx1) vaccines with myocarditis, primarily in children, young and middle-age adults.”
        and again
“These results also are mirrored by a report of increased emergency department visits with cardiovascular complaints during the vaccination rollout in Germany as well as increased EMS calls for cardiac incidents in Scotland.”

And you are a ‘special’ type of person who has nothing to contribute apart from trying to offend others- anything else?

        1. anti bot

soq you were defending a unionist bigot yesterday, someone watching porn in Parliament, and constantly defend a murdering Putin whilst spouting Trump/Quanon bs. you have nothing to contribute but tell lies online. You’ll be first on here tonight and tomorrow. You and your aliases. For the 40th time, do you think it acceptable for Russia to invade another another country and murder innocent people. If so, can you explain why. Go on you are on here 24/7. Surely you have an answer. Never effing answer. Why not? Are you afraid of your lies. Have you ever heard of Godwins law. anyone who refers to Nazis has lost the argument.

          1. SOQ

Where exactly- apart from in your imagination- did I defend someone watching porn in Parliament?

As for the rest of your guff- did it ever occur to you that the reason people ignore you is because you are constantly attacking them? Such bitter bile is not healthy.

          2. Tom J

@ SOQ, Do you think it is acceptable that the army of the Russian federation has invaded Ukraine and murdered innocent people. If you are unable to answer the question I will take it that you do not have a problem with this situation and no humanity towards the people of Ukraine.

          3. anti bot

soq, when did I ever attack you. I just challenge you and you’re alias view s. No. 40 times, is it OK for Russia to invade another country and kill innocent people? Yes or no? If no, condemn it. If yes, explain why? Its a really simple question. No bile, unlike you, simple question.

          4. SOQ

Where exactly did I defend someone watching porn in Parliament? Just like when you accused me of being misogynist- when challenged you provided zero evidence.

I genuinely think you come onto this site and hurl whatever the first slur comes into your vacuous nasty little head.

          5. Tom J

Just a reminder, you haven’t answered the question I asked, so I guess you are in favour of Ukrainian citizens being murdered.

          6. anti bot

I did reply to you when you asked that question the last time. You always attack personally everyone who challenges you on this website, but have particular bile directed towards the few female commentators hence my accusations of you being sexist

bad bond news, sadly no james to come to the rescue these two plus sized publicity hounds.

    oh,no.

“There is a low margin of safety for the company, and a default and/or default like process is a real possibility, which is reflected in the removal of the Rating Watch Positive and downgrade to ‘CCC+’ from ‘B-‘ for Digicel Limited and the affirmation of CCC for DGHL.”

    hm.
The aggressive corporate governance resulting in two debt restructurings is a negative for the group’s ratings.

what have Dennis O’Brien and Ron DeSantis got in common besides florida sized waists and gluttony?

the ability to negatively affect their respective bond ratings and debt flexibility, the mouse that roared.

“The failure to do so could alter our view of Florida’s commitment to preserve bondholder rights and weaken our view of the operating environment for Florida governments.”

Usedn’t somebody be very keen on taking defamation cases?
They’ve become very shy in that regard lately.

Ocean temperatures at the surface vary dramatically from season to season, but past a depth of 500m, ocean temperatures are fairly consistent from season to season.
      noaa.gov dixit.
When the temperature down there begins to increase, we’ll know that we’re fukt.

      1. f_lawless

This is worth a read Jon – that the Earth’s core may have entered an exothermic cycle where its emitting a much greater amount of heat than before. According to the author, this may be the most significant factor causing a rise in global temperatures and is a potential explanation as to why the earth observed the most aggressive CO2 ppm growth in 45 years of data during the March-June 2020 time frame when most of Europe, Asia and the US were in shut down – contrary to what would be expected if man’s activities were the primary factor.

‘This article is not a ‘claim’; rather it constitutes an appeal for deductive hypothesis sponsorship – a distinction taught in the philosophy of ethics and science – framed particularly for the instance where an existing enforced hypothesis is based solely upon inductive inference.’

          For FECK’s sake.

‘As such, this work is not posed under a pretense of residing at the level of a broad-scope scientific research effort.’

          Jesus Christ.

‘Therefore, I am not a ‘climate change denier’. Do not trust anyone who mindlessly employs such weaponized pejoratives, as it is their malicious conduct which is serving to create a mistrust of climate science to begin with.’

What planet is this person living on?

It’s entirely hypothetical. You will latch on to literally anything.

        2. jonjoker

Christ Niggle, you actually ignored this disclaimer in the article:
“understand that I am a proponent of addressing anthropogenic global warming as a first priority for mankind”

You really are living up to my nickname for you.

After Northern Ireland’s health minister Robin Swann criticised Van Morrison for “dangerous” protest songs- he is now releasing a new song- called ‘Dangerous’.

It is quite good too. Knowing what we know now- it is very much up for debate as to who is really ‘dangerous’ of course.

Boris Johnson’s defence on Covid risk to care homes hit by new revelation:

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/apr/30/boris-johnsons-defence-on-covid-risk-to-care-homes-hit-by-new-revelation

“Boris Johnson’s claim that a lack of knowledge about the asymptomatic transmission of Covid-19 put care homes at risk has been further undermined after it emerged he openly discussed the potential scale of symptom-free transmission. The prime minister has already been accused of misleading parliament over the claim. He made it last week after the high court ruled that the government had acted unlawfully in ordering the discharge of patients to care homes without testing in the spring of 2020. Johnson told the House of Commons: “What we didn’t know in particular was that Covid could be transmitted asymptomatically.” However, the prime minister commented on papers examining the issue at a Covid press conference on 25 March – several weeks before rules were altered to ensure that all patients were tested before they were admitted to a care home…”
