Well interest rates rise to cost another €300 a month
    That’s €3600 a year
So the rates are rising by some hike
    But nothing like the 1980s
If they do that’s the rates tripling
There will be lots of repossessions and a hell of a lot of renters then the worst unlike America when your house is reposted there the bank cannot pursue you till the day you die for the balance

    1. GiggidyGoo

That’s €3600 per year – but how much must a person earn to receive net pay of €3600 after tax?
      €5000?
      €7500?

Regulators and Pfizer knew COVID Vaccine caused Vaccine-Associated Enhanced Disease

Confidential Pfizer documents that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has been forced to publish by Court Order, confirm that both Pfizer and the FDA knew Vaccine-Associated Enhanced Disease was a possible consequence of the mRNA Covid-19 injections.

They also reveal that they received evidence of it occurring, including several deaths, but swept it under the carpet and claimed “no new safety issues have been raised”.

The consequences of this cover-up are now being realised in official Government data that strongly suggests the fully vaccinated population have been suffering Antibody-Dependent Enhancement since the beginning of 2022.

    https://dailyexpose.uk/2022/05/04/pfizer-documents-cover-up-antibody-dependent-enhancement/

This certainly would explain why so many people who were double and triple vaccinated then came down with CoVid-19. Hopefully it is just temporary.

Vaccine Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome doesn’t seem so farfetched now does it?

      1. Kin

        Wow SOQ
PAXLOVID apparently is looking like it’s problematic
After a few days one feels like you have recovered then the next day the covid comes back with a vengeance

Google report on ABC news america
Mind you those profits are outrageous especially after we were told by government the first couple of years Pfizer would be providing the vaccine at a break even cost
Some profits just like shell and Bp

    1. Cian

That dailyexpose Confidential Pfizer documents that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has been forced to publish by Court Order is based on a document “5.3.6 Cumulative analysis of post-authorization adverse event reports of pf-07302048” … that has been public ally available for over 6 months!!

Beats me why broadsheet insist on putting the “Irish” Daily Mail at the top always of it’s paper previews. Just look at tomorrow’s edition, at a quick glance you’d think it was an English paper.
Thankfully it’s sales are collapsing entirely, March 2022 figure was 19,411. And that figure includes sales in Northern Ireland of around 600. That was down 463 on the previous month.
Same story for “Irish” Mail on Sunday, March figures were 45,032, a reduction of 1,004 on the previous month.
I think broadsheet must be getting paid by them to have them positioned so prominently!!!

    1. Mr .T

They are the first paper to send in their front page to BS, so they get first spot IIRC

    1. stephen moran

Maybe the fascist lapdog club here should embark on a fact finding mission – they could stay at the Daly and Wallace scruff bag tax evasion suite – its dirtbag cheap – no washing facilities, hairdryer, comb or ironing board.
And today Sesame street was brought to you by the letter Z for zero brain cells, ethics, pathos, irony or moral compass

    2. f_lawless

Sorry to be that guy, put the two of you have been taken in by some low-level propaganda. Watching the clip, it’s fairly obvious it’s been spliced in the middle Sure enough, a few comments down, there’s the managing editor of Meduza media outlet saying:

“Going to delete my tweet with Shakhnazarov’s “sterilization” quote. Apparently, he was describing what he thinks the West is doing to Russians.”

      1. Daisy Chainsaw

Why would the west put themselves in concentration camps? Who else does Shakhnazarov think “the opponents of the letter Z” are?

      2. Fearganainm

There is actually disagreement on that, in Kevin Rothrock’s ‘delete’ thread.

e.g. “No it is his words, and he really says so. Zero reference to West here.”

        https://twitter.com/drikssdrikss/status/1521956778178760711

“Agreed. I’d love for this to be out of context, but it doesn’t seem to be. And given that he then goes on to compare the West’s attack on Russia with Hitler’s final solution, to justify why anyone against Z should be “disposed of” seems very much in line.”

          1. SOQ

I find it interesting how some people simply refuse to place any of what is happening in Ukraine into a historical context.

Not only did the war actually start over eight years ago, but the conflict between Ukrainian Nazis and the Russians goes back to the second world war. And that is not even considering the CIA meddling beforehand.

God help any Azov Nazi that the Russians have or will capture because no matter how this turns out, they will be buried into the Siberian gulags for the rest of their natural lives.

          2. Nigel

I find it interesting how your efforts at historical context somehow omits Putin starting the Donbas conflict with Nazi mercenaries and installing Russian gangsters as leaders.

Even then your efforts fail to actually contextualise the invasion except in the vaguest of ways as some sort of Nazi thing, even though Putin’s ambitions to restore the Soviet Republics to Russian control are hardly a secret.

          3. SOQ

You a have a link outlining Putin’s involvement in the Donbass region? And not recent propaganda- something written before all this started.

And their propaganda fails are the stuff of legend

          https://twitter.com/AdinOfCrimea/status/1522208348573163521

and we won’t discuss the Russian T-72 tanks with “javelin” cabriolet conversion option” as standard.

Weeks – 10 into the 3 day special operation
          Victories – 0
          Sanctions – ouch
Economy – tanking just like our tanks
          Oil embargo – Pending
Supply dumps in Russia – Exploding
          Generals – 12 Dead
          Army – Advancing backwards
          Le Pen – Lost
9 May parade – Not in Kyiv

          So much winning

          1. stephen moran

Well if Mr .T can find one thing there that’s factually incorrect I’d be happy to rephrase it more forcefully – as the truth hurts and seems to offend sensitive fascist Russian
apparatchiks like yourself here – I of course left out the senile virulently anti-semitic Lavrov’s Hitler was Jewish gaff and by implication blaming them for the holocaust .

Nice to see all those American anti-Vax, anti mask “libertarians” showing their true colours over Roe V Wade now – ho hum – plus ca change – who could have predicted that.

          2. Kin

And stephen the other side of the coin

Thousands of Ukrainian civillians dead and injured

A whole nation that will have to be rebuilt by the international community bar Russia China North Korea the Indian sub continent the Middle East South America Eurasia and much of North America

Over 3 million refugees all being cared for outside their state at a massive cost to each country they are now in

The cost of displacement of many Ukrainians in Ukraine

I assume no different for the Irish taxpayer and future generations which will be paying for their keep
Sanctions by ourselves on Russia ,ouch for us as price gouging is now emdemic
Massive interest rates on the way
Energy prices through the roof and food shortages

Oil embargo pending plus gas with dire consequences for industry in Europe
            Projected inflation of 10%

NATO armies getting ready for WW3 advances neither forward or backwards yet as massive amounts of money is spent on munitions missiles and items of death

A massive recession on the way

Fitting out to luxuay standards of all nuclear bunkers under way for our illustrious leaders
The poor saps or general public suffering from all the above will not have access to them
Then of course the cost in the future of a lead lined iron curtain for possibly a century

Yes stephen I really see what winning is really about
And of course so much winning

We can always gloat at Russia of course as we live in misery knowing the Russians will also be suffering
Of course there is another end to this
The end of humanity through nuclear war
They say the only life form that survives radioactivity is the humble cockroach plus the cockroaches in each government that brought this on mankind as they crawl out of their nuclear bunkers a couple of years later

        2. f_lawless

          @Fearganainm

“There is actually disagreement on that, in Kevin Rothrock’s ‘delete’ thread. “

But what do you yourself think? I had a look at the longer video that was linked to by the person you quoted: ““No it is his words, and he really says so. Zero reference to West here.”.

Auto-translate gives you the gist of what he’s saying. And It’s clear enough he’s not saying this is what Russia has planned for Ukrainians. It’s even pointed out to the person you quoted:

“Thanks for the longer version But I’m sure you’ve misunderstood, re-listen. He tries to scare with how the West will solve “the Russian question”. IMO it’s crucial to be precise, no need for us to exaggerate.”

Which leaves the person you quoted backtracking::
          https://twitter.com/drikssdrikss/status/1522495903524966400
“Yes, listening it again, it could be that even before somehow he stated that. Agree, from this clip it also is not clear.”

          As for your other quote
““It’s more like “We’re going to do these things to the people who oppose us because that’s what the West have 100% planned for us.” A case of projection, basically.”

I’m not sure why you thought that worthy of sharing. It wasn’t made by Kevin Rothrock so your link is misleading. The point at hand is whether the footage was mischaracterised for propaganda purposes, not some anonymous commenter’s armchair psychoanalysis of what they think is going on Shakhnazarov’s mind

          1. Fearganainm

Your initial ‘spliced and disowned by Kevin Rothrock’ spin wasn’t quite accurate, was it? Rothrock took down his post because he felt that there was insufficient material to provide context. He explained some of the difficulties in obtaining such material below his ‘delete post’. Others weighed in on his thread with longer clips and offered their own interpretations of what Shakhnazarov said and why he might have said it. Shakhnazarov himself later said his comments were taken out of context:

            https://crooksandliars.com/2022/05/putin-ally-warns-enemies-z-could-face

‘Othering’ and abuse of Ukrainians is a regular feature of Russian broadcasting nowadays. No matter how much Shakhnazarov – or you – may complain, clips of his words, of various duration, are circulating all over the world now.

In a world where propaganda competes for attention Shakhnazarov isn’t currently being viewed as any kind of ‘Mr. Reasonable’:

            https://twitter.com/search?q=Shakhnazarov&src=typed_query&f=live

You’re too late to ‘rescue him’.

        1. stephen moran

I’m sure the resident of Mariupol would have been just fine had the fascist Russian invaders brought a few spray cans rather than killing 1,000’s of civilians with indiscriminate use of heavy weaponry and bombings.

          1. Duncan Wheeler

Seeing as you have shown yourself to be a one sided blinkered propaganda muncher there’s not a word that I can use here to describe your noxious drivel. Poison seeping out of every word, must be a real charmer in the real world, not. It’s sickening the enthusiasm you show describing gore and bloody events. Don’t you care about the other wars going on? Voyeur.

        2. SOQ

In fairness, unlike the idiots in New York (and Dublin?)- at least they are upfront about what they are supporting.

          1. Nigel

Unlike yourself, repeating Russian propaganda ad nauseum, but claiming not to support the invasion or Putin, ‘both sides are bad.’ Moral cowardice.

          2. SOQ

And what are you repeating eh?

Ireland is a neutral country and that is how we will remain.

You won’t even state what your own nationality is ffs.

          3. Nigel

I’m repeating the rather obvious fact that Putin started this war by invading a country without provocation, because he wants that country under his thumb.

          4. Tom J

Why does he have to claim which nationality he is, I didn’t know it was required to state nationality before you posted something on Broadsheet.

          5. SOQ

Ok I forget- so refresh my memory? If you are going to come on here and reply to near every single comment on this subject, then it is perfectly reasonable for people to know.

          6. Nigel

You mean when you get annoyed and want to derail whatever conversation is going on? Meh, you’d just think of something else.

    3. Kin

      Daisy
There are no hero’s here and at this stage why did the Ukrainian forces actually not ensure the final battle for Mariupol civillians by the hundreds are in the battle ground
Various attempts to get women and children out failed and both sides are responsible
I see hundreds now got out according to the UN
When I saw azov battalion families safe in Kiev demonstrating the other day on sky news we see that these left in the rubble to the most horrible fate are no relation of soldiers fighting but no doubt human shields

      1. SOQ

Given that there had been a number of ceasefires / safe colliders for soldiers who surrendered before this, why was those women and children still there? There have been claims that the rest are being held in as a bargaining chip for food but if that is the case, the Russians won’t agree.

Even with that- the idea that those men have been instructed to commit suicide is disgusting. Whether they live or die, absolutely nothing is going to change – apart from a few busied egos in Kiev or Washington of course.

        1. Nigel

The logistics of evacuation are not trivial, especially on a battleground, especially when one side opens fire on supposed humanitarian corridors.

The Russians did this, but you put the blame on everyone but them.

          1. SOQ

This from the clown who claimed Russia didn’t ever have a strategy? They are meticulously cleaning the Nazis out and they are in no hurry doing so.

And, more to the point, that have a lot more support from the Ukrainian general public for doing so that the western media would ever acknowledge.

          2. Nigel

There are a lot of words that could be used to describe this. ‘Meticulous’ is not one of them.

Well, there were Russian backed separatist mercenaries already in the region, bet they gave loads of support.

          3. f_lawless

Here’s some first-hand witness testimony from Natalia Usmanova, an employee at the Azovstal steel plant. Thankfully, her release was negotiated but she gives the impression that the civilians are/were being held against their will; being used as bargaining chips.

            https://twitter.com/JorgeMouta_/status/1521510981180006400

“You have no idea what horrors we lived through. The horror of not having an escape. They put us in a cage. They didn’t let us out. They came to us and threatened: ‘we will bury you here’. Not all of them. Some of them threatened us.Some were normal. Then a few days ago they said: ‘Don’t worry they care about you, they will negotiate your release’. We no longer believed it. Sometimes we heard on the radio. ‘There is a green corridor’, meaning we can evacuate. But they sat in the bunker acting like nothing happened and guarding the exits so no one could escape..”

          4. SOQ

It is well geographically documented that Azov deliberately set up in the middle of civilian residential areas for cover, so why should this be a surprise?

None will admit it but civilian shields are a common military tactic- including NI- especially when the causalities can be spun to blame the other side.

And yet we are supposed to believe that these dyed in the wool Nazis would not do such things- yeah right.

          5. Duncan Wheeler

Niggle the wise tell’s all. You have shown that you understand nothing.

          6. f_lawless

Another clip of Natalia being interviewed:
            https://twitter.com/Ufhope88/status/1521963017537306625

“We knew that were corridors but we couldn’t get to them. They wouldn’t let us out…We came here of our own accord on the 26th February, understanding that it’s a safe place.Of course we couldn’t even imagine this. This is a civil object. It’s our place of work.We couldn’t even imagine. Trust me, if I had understood that this would happen here, I wouldn’t have gone there, naturally. No, we went there to save our lives, the lives of our kids, understanding that this was a reliable, sturdy shelter…I suspect that they came there with the goal of hiding behind civilians..”

        2. Kin

          SOQ
The only conclusion is that they are being held as human shields
I have seen videos plaster all over the news from Ukraine and pro Kiev news of azov batallion wives children and girlfriends in Kiev pleading for the lives of azov soldiers held up in Mariupol steel works
They reckon there is 2000 of them
So the civilians are sacrificed by the Kiev government and the only use would be for propaganda ,hence little movement of civillians out of Mariupol while Ukraine blame Russia and viceversa

So where dose this pan out
The Russians are evil for their deaths or the fact that the Kiev government would not ensure they were not there in the first place
Remember the Russians did invade but Ukraine chose to use their cities and towns as battlefields and put their civilians at risk
And the west armed them to the teeth lengthening the suffering of the Ukrainian people

          1. SOQ

Again it is hard to know, and you should be listening to all reports with a certain scepticism, but there was an interview with one of the civilians who was adamant that the leadership within the steelworks were in regular contact with if not Zelenskyy, then certainly his office.

In which case Zelenskyy and his handlers are giving the order of no surrender, or in other words- commit suicide. I just find that spectre really disturbing myself- callous and sinister- and a senseless loss of life.

But the Nazis know their faith if they are captured alive by the Russians, so they are prepared to go down fighting. As per usual, it is always the innocent who get hurt most.

          2. Nigel

Kiev, blame Russia, for Russia killing people? The propaganda!

Again this idea that the Ukrainians defending themselves is morally equivalent to Russia invading. Sheer sophistry.

      2. Nigel

You know who turned a city full of civilians into a battleground? You know who is directly responsible? Hint: not both sides.

        1. SOQ

It wasn’t a city it was fortified steelworks with at least six levels below ground. People did not just wander in there for safety.

          1. Nigel

Sounds like a perfectly reasonable hiding place when your city is being assaulted by the Russian army.

          2. Kin

So SOQ it’s perfectly reasonable that civilians would all leave Mariupol and move into where the final battle will take place in Mariupol while all the family members of azov troops would leave their loved ones behind
Is there something wrong with Nigel’s brain?

          3. Nigel

It’s war, you think people move in straight lines? The last place likely to fall is the safest place in a siege, by definition.

  4. f_lawless

I see those wonderful people over at the European Parliament have voted to extend the Covid Pass system for another year. It beggars belief really. Even the dogs on the street know at this stage that the shots do feck all to stop transmission. The system is a complete farce. EU officials should really be ordering a criminal investigation into how and why deals were approved with pharmaceutical companies that conducted, at best, shoddy clinical trials for their dodgy products. Instead the MEPS have voted to continue the curtailment of citizens’ freedom of movement, I mean, have granted us the privilege of freedom of movement for another 12 months. Those wonderful people.

At the risk of sounding nihilistic, it’ll never happen.

Many people have become ill as a result, are already dead or living in fear, or institutionalised.

War doesn’t always mean bombs, tanks and bullets – war is fear.

    2. Micko

Let them extend it and bully people as long as they like.

The only thing putting me off travelling in the last year was the prospect of having the hassle of wandering around another country, trying to book a Covid test and then possibly failing and not getting back to Ireland.

Now that the pass system has been scrapped completely for entry into Ireland – I don’t care. I’ll get a test on the way out and then saunter back home.

In fact, I’m off to Portugal next week ;-)

  5. bisted

…Russia can ask Kyiv what they like but they have been ordered by US/NATO to fight to the last man…

      1. bisted

…didn’t you listen to the speech from your girl, Nancy ‘La Pasionara’ Pelosi…or have the Democrat shop brought out a new line of earmuffs where you only hear what you want to hear?

        1. Nigel

No, I didn’t, but a specch by a civilian polititician constitutes military orders now? Liar, liar.

          1. bisted

…we have a saying in the ‘ol country – he who pays the piper calls the tune…question is, who’s finest hour?

          2. Nigel

No amount of old sayings constitute orders. They don’t even count as hints or suggestions. It’s something completely made-up you keep repeating as if true.

        2. Duncan Wheeler

Niggle never lets a good opinion get in the way of those darned facts.

      2. Kin

I honestly think the only way this war started was that zelensky has the goods on Biden and son and trumps accusations are correct
If indeed this is true and the press got hold of it the repercussions would make watergate like the greatest act of truth the world has seen
I honestly think zelensky must of been on some coke bender to actually take on Putin
        It’s a death wish
Sad thing is this is now serious and is only going to end one way
And that’s when zelensky flees Ukraine or Putin reaches his objective and NATO get the message
But the price russia is going to pay is pretty high
Europe will never be the same again

        1. Nigel

I mean, sure, if you completely ignore Putin’s imperaialist ambitions, that the ONLY explanation.

Polling guru Sir John Curtice, said support for Labour appeared to have fallen in many areas Starmer would need to win in a general election in order to command an overall majority.
” Outside of London as compared with 2018 when the seats were last contested, it looks as though Labour’s vote is actually down slightly. ”
Indeed, Labour have gained Mayfair but lost Hull – Sir Kneelalot’s problems in a nutshell.
Box Office Boris is going nowhere.

          1. scottser

it’s not labour you should be worried about three-tit, it’s the greens and the tory lites.
1995? height of the boom 1995?
find a picture of an apple and then one of an orange and try and tell the difference.
tories have won 515 seats to labour’s 1162 so far and scottish and welsh results will start to come in soon – be sure to keep the lube handy.

          2. TenPin Terry

You won’t mind if I take my lead from the UK’s pre-eminent election expert rather than some anonymous toe-rag on the internet will you ?
After months of relentless propaganda from the BBC and the rest of the Islington socialist media set Boris is achieving better mid-term results than even the blessed Margaret Thatcher did.
            Sir Kneelalot is unelectable.
Box Office will be tormenting And Dumber for a few more years yet.
            Hehx3™

          3. scottser

you can take whatever opinion you like three-tit, even that which equates losing the crown jewel of westminster with the gaining of a free bag of chips and half a can of ale that is hull.
anyway, we should adjourn until later and discuss the fallout for the tories, and indeed the dup, when the all the results are in. after all, it’s only a net 130-seat loss so far – not too bad for the fat, smug pr1ck.

          4. Big Lad

Don’t worry about being wrong TenPin,
Remember, you can always change your name.

          5. TenPin Terry

Glad to see you’ve finally seen sense and admitted it’s been a far better night for the hero of Ukraine than many predicted.
Remember, it’s not winning in London that matters for Labour.
But losing ground in the Red Wall seats does.
Doing worse than even Jeremy Corbyn is not a good look for Sir Kneelalot.
Dry your eyes mate. You’ve got years on your knees ahead of you.
            He shoots, he scores™.

          6. TenPin Terry

” Durham Police will investigate Sir Keir Starmer over ‘beergate’ allegations, the Telegraph understands… following days of mounting pressure and repeated questions over Sir Keir’s version of events, the force is set to announce it will now investigate the claims fully. ”
Oh dear, Sir Kneelalot’s day goes from bad to worse
            Boris’ days are numbered, etc,etc…

            Marvellous™

          7. TenPin Terry

Fwiw today is the 69th birthday of Tony Blair, the only Labour leader to win a sustainable parliamentary majority since 1966.
How Sir Kneelalot must wish he had the common touch of his fellow Islington multi-millionaire socialist.
            Still, he has this.
Finger on the nation’s pulse as ever …

            160 seats lost now Two-Face.
what does your mate sir john say is the breaking point for the FSP’s leadership? 180? 200?

          9. TenPin Terry

He says based on the results so far they not a performance ” that indicated a party that is on course for winning a general election with a majority ” – and he’s talking about Labour.
I’ll give you a small hint – winning votes in areas where he doesn’t need them and losing them where he does is not a route to No 10 for Sir Kneelalot.
Boris has a lot to be cheerful about.
But I feel your pain And Dumber.
Depression ? Anxiety ? Your Anglophobia giving you gyp ?
            Awww, you poor thing

          10. scottser

on the contrary Too Fat Terry, i’m quite content to watch the FSP own his mess and lead the tories into the next election when their losses will be a whole lot worse than today. I also fully agree that labour are unelectable.
yep, tan land is a bago’shite right now.

          11. scottser

oh, and 174 seats lost now Fat Tan Terry. they’re already calling for the FSP to go and the results aren’t even all in yet.
            crack
            crack
            can you hear it?
            crack..

oh, i see lots of jewish folks voted labour and they hold barnet now. isn’t that nice?

          12. scottser

make that 179 seats and 11 councils – they really are losing at a right rate altogether.
still, it’s all good though isn’t it?

          13. TenPin Terry

            Heh, heh, heh.
Another Paddy driven demented when things don’t happen in Blighty like the Irish media predicted.
Today Sir Kneelalot is being chased by the media over Beergate and the £200 curry order at a time when only six people could gather and he’s not a happy bunny.
Well, things are not really going to plan are they ?
            https://order-order.com/2022/05/06/watch-starmer-refuses-press-questions-over-beergate/

            206 seats lost now..

          15. scottser

            239 seats lost.
sky just predicted in a general election that tories would have lost 87 seats. the snp and lib dems could form a coalition with labour meaning starmer would be pm.

            *snigger*

          16. scottser

            almost 300 now – that’s a lot of unemployed tories :)
i have to admit i thoroughly enjoyed today.

          17. TenPin Terry

Well I’d rather let Britain’s leading election and polling expert Professor Sir John Curtice have the last word tbh.
He says Labour’s performance ” is no better than what the party achieved in 2018 when Jeremy Corbyn was still party lead. A half point advance in Labour’s vote share since 2018 in London was accompanied by a three-point fall in the north of England. ”
Anyhow, I have a pub of friends to join shortly And Dumber.
I’ll leave you fighting imaginery enemies on the internet and high-fiving yourself like a keyboard warrior.

off to drown your sorrows Two-Can Terry?
a 341 seats-and-counting loss must be hard to swallow i imagine.
still, chin up old cock – betamax boris is the gift that keeps on giving :)

Facebook post by Lawyers For Justice Ireland

The Ceann Comhairle Sean O’Fearghail TD and the Cathaoirleach of the Seanad Senator Mark Daly are travelling to Ukraine next week to address the Parliament to ‘demonstrate EU support’.

The State have the audacity to speak about their role in upholding democracy whilst flagrantly undermining our Irish Constitution and the will of the People of Ireland. The People of Ireland have made it clear through polls conducted by the Irish Times/Ipsos that there is overwhelming support for Irish neutrality.

    https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=279410524391186&id=107967184868855

Just an observation here- the Lawyers For Justice Ireland group have been smeared with the ‘far right’ label because of their work on the lockdowns and mandates but now, they have thrown their full weight behind Clare Daly- so what does that really make them?

Isn’t it very annoying when people just will not stay in the little politically smeared boxes eh? In fairness, it must be difficult for the hard of thinking to access everything everyone says on it’s own merit- God forbid.

    1. Nigel

If they are far right supporting Clare Daly on an issue they agree on doesn’t make them one iota less so. Remember, Russia and Germany were allies in 1939.

        1. Nigel

When you run out of arguments do you you accuse others of being paid to disagree with you?

(The answer to that is yes, by the way.)

          1. paul

or that people disagreeing with him are bullies. One or the other.

edit: re: Clare Daly, a stopped clock can be right twice a day. A busted clock, not so much.

          2. Mad

Lowercase paul piling in again, his pint-sized typography befitting his small mind and no doubt inconsequential, puny personhood.
Pick on someone your own size paul – maybe the local strip-a-gram company have a dwarf on their books?

          3. TenPin Terry

            Kinder, gentler Broadsheet …
I think this also warrants the new Plonker Of This Parish™ award to be given to its first recipient.

            A twofer tosser.

          4. paul

hi Mad, running in with swinging fists I see. Not like that faux empathy from yesterday. Glad to know that, at your core, all you’ve got is insults that say more about yourself than anyone else.

Enjoy your lunchtime visit to the local Madam. I hope they have what you need.

          5. Mad

Well they do say misery loves company SOQ…

            @Fat Tart’s Other Half – meet Thimbelina

          6. paul

call anyone any names today, SOQ? I think you’ve called people clowns and idiots earlier and spoken abusively to someone about their nationality. Funny is right. Hypocrisy is hilarious.

Maybe yourself and Mad can put your heads together and try… well, try anything really. I’m sure someone can benefit from your presence even as an object lesson.

          7. SOQ

Is there some rule that the most personal you are, the more sensitive you also are?

Bullies do tend to flip into victim more very quickly, in fairness.

          8. paul

your words ring with experience of flipping between those two states alright.

Try not to resort to name-calling and speaking in all capitals when that temper frays, it gives the impression of a loss of control, gives truth to the above.

This is two days in a row that Mad and yourself have dragged me down into your gaslighting. There won’t be a third.

          9. Mad

Poor old pint sized paul. Desperately trying to seek the high ground – and failing (obviously).
Stick to the weeds and the short grass paul.

“or that people disagreeing with him are bullies. One or the other”

Hypocrisy – say hello to desperation.

    #despitebrexit
The good people at Guido Fawkes report that ” Airbus has announced new plans to invest £100 million in beefing up its Broughton manufacturing plant over the next few years, creating more than 500 jobs at the site as the company ramps up aircraft production as it emerges from the pandemic. ”
This would be the same Airbus whose CEO insisted the company would be worse off after Brexit.
And top Remoaner George Osborne toured TV studious with a piece of Airbus wing predicting doom and gloom.
    Good times.
Don’t expect to see this news on the BBC.

    1. TenPin Terry

      You seem surprised ?
That’s the problem when you’re so mired in your own bilious hatred of all things British that you fail to notice it never elects the far right and that Ireland has more flat-cap wearers than minorities in the Dail.
Blighty also has an excellent track record on multiculturalism and lack of racist prejudice towards foreigners.
      Unlike Ireland.

” Ireland has one of the highest rates of racism in the workplace within the EU. ”
