We can confirm a payment file was delayed last night and payment will credit tomorrow morning. Sincere apologies for this.

Bank of Ireland has confirmed it is experiencing technical difficulties which have resulted in funds not going through to a number of bank accounts..
The bank says among those affected are payments to staff at the Department of Justice and Department of Education should be processed tomorrow morning.
It is still working to resolve the problem.
It apologised to any customers affected and said the credits will be in their accounts by first thing tomorrow morning.
Bank of Ireland delay leaves some customers without pay (RTE)

How much interest would accrue to this money if it can’t be paid over the weekend?
none.
So, where’s the money resting then :)
Dicey Reilly’s and Coppers face a tough Thursday, hopefully they’ll make it back over the weekend the poor craters.
It’s more things like direct debits for rent, childcare, loan repayments and so on.
I’m glad you don’t have to worry about not getting paid on time.
It must be nice for you.

“Ulster Bank now also says it’s arranging a refund of any fees and charges applied as direct result of Bank of Ireland’s payments delay”

Add academic staff in UCD to the list of people affected by this.
Eh, not just academic staff, I think you’ll find it’s ALL staff. Spoke to someone in BOI earlier regarding standing orders that are due to go out today and the reimbursement of late fees: ‘Well we can’t really say that it’s the bank’s fault so I can’t guarantee that’ was the reply. Fupping muppets. That’ll be me shifting my account in future.
Private companies too apparently. I haven’t been paid yet either!!
And if our personal accounts are not with Bank of Ireland…will payments be available in our accounts tomorrow? …mortgage and direct debits are the worry here.
Anyone technical on here that might be able to explain / hypothesise? Something to do with inter-bank clearing or such?
I find it amazing that the Government put its payroll through that bank, a bank that gave the Gov two fingers re debt write downs…
I wasnt paid so will be waiting till tommorrow, have to pay rent, had to explain to landlord why…lucky he was understanding about it :)
