A snowy scene from the Grand Canal in Dublin in December 2010
Well, maaaybe.
Met Éireann says the weather on Sunday will be:
“Bitterly cold and rather blustery. Good spells of sunshine but scattered showers too – mainly affecting the western half of the country. Some of the showers will be wintry in nature, with snow on western and northern hills and possibly some sleet on lower levels here. A flurry or two is possibly on higher ground further east. Highest temperatures just 3 to 6 degrees Celsius, in a fairly fresh westerly breeze. Similar conditions persisting overnight. Cold with some frost as winds moderate, with some snow accumulation possible in the north overnight.”

well, shit.
You looking for coal for xmas?
I know , I know, Snow is aesthically very pleasing. But jaysus it’s colder than a witches tity and wet and miserable after a day or two.
Going to have it over here from about mid-December to end of February/early March :(
Down here in Florida it probably won’t appear, not since it’s 23 degrees in December.
In most places it snows, people are well prepared for it and life goes on with just a better looking background.
Unfortunately , even though we get some snow almost every year, the country loses its mind as soon as a single flake falls and grinds to a standstill.
I remember driving home that Christmas Eve. It showed -10degrees on my car temp gauge for ages.
Fun times.
I love how the sky looks at night time when it’s been snowing.
“Highest temperatures just 3 to 6 degrees Celsius,” that’s considered “bitterly cold”? If we got temps like that here in New England during the winter it would be considered balmy.
……………”Well,” says the Texan, “on my ranch, I have breakfast and get into the car, and I drive and drive and I don’t reach the end of the ranch until dinnertime.”
“Really,” replies the Kerryman. “I once had a car like that too.”
Lady here, telling me you couldn’t drive across George W Bush’s ranch in a day.
You were lucky! We used to get up at 6 o’clock t’ previous morning to go t’ work!

C’mon the snow!
Last time out I used a hair dryer up the attic trying to thaw out the pipes because the boiler had died.
Now, attic is insulated, pipes lagged & new boiler.
Can have fun next time it snows.
Are ya just dying to try them out?
BTW snow doesn’t necessarily mean sub zero temperatures
Yeah no real snow to speak of at all really but hype it up all the same.
So.. how did that work out for you?
