Dublin SPCA writes:
This is Molly Malone, she was found on the street yesterday on her own in Dublin 2 and is the first duckling to come into the shelter this year. Molly has been cared for overnight but is very distressed without her family. This morning our inspectors are trying to rescue what we believe to be the rest of the family on a building site again in Dublin 2. This is a very difficult rescue so we will have to wait to see if they are successful We will keep you posted….

If they need anyone to take them I have hoi sin sauce and pancakes ready to go…
There’s always one.
I prefer two myself…..serve them on quackers
*chuckles*
‘chuck’ get it… oh, never mind
Ahhhhhh! It was always distressing watching the mother duck with loads of ducklings, their numbers dwindling by the day as they got eaten by rats or whatever.
Hope they save them all.
I thought in the animal kingdom that the adage ‘survival of the fittest’ was always the case? A duckling isn’t a pet for cuddling and surely all animals are distressed at some point in their daily endeavours to find food and dosage predators?
*dodge predators
I say we take off and nuke them from space. It’s the only way to be sure.
Would agree. Do ducks do that thing that some other animals do, whereby if a young ‘un comes into contact with another species, they are dissed?
Also, maybe the family dissed the duckling anyway, hence her walking around alone?
Dissed?
That’s mal ‘ard man.
*Grans puffa jacket filled with down*
‘grabs’ dang it !
Eider no….(shrugs).
Teal it – A lesson.
How many homeless people did they walk past before seeing a lost little duckling.
It’s the DSPCA.
