Anything said by anyone connected to the political system in Ireland between now and election time can be taken with a snow shovel of salt. Everything said will be said with an eye on the schmuck voters. 100% horseplop henceforth. There now. Feel free to ignore.

Dear Jesus please make this pre-election horsepoo stop! If it’s not Enda doing lenor soft interviews with Miriam O’C and the journal then it’s bloody Joan/Leo/Richard spewing forth on how well the ‘recovery’ is going. It’s making my eyes bleed.
Enda: And this is how you stimulate the G-spot.
Joan: Trust me, Enda, I know when I’m fupped.
I doubt Enda ever had the attention span to actually look for a g-spot.
4 endured, 1 more to go.
Enda: “yes the economy is growing and this is the best small country ever” says under his voice “that’s cause we have cut all health services to the needy added in a property tax, a water tax and a charge on wages but at least we have given tax breaks to our friends in the top 1%, woo aren’t we great”.
Anger rising everytime I see that t**** face
Am I the only one that thinks they haven’t done that bad a job? I mean dubious Irish Water deals and unnecessary bank guarantee payments aside, they have the country in a much better position than the one they received by that other shower of corrupt idiots. Given a choice between FF, SF, Greens or IND, I probably would give them another go. *shudder*
If your aim is to get Ireland back into as close as possible a state as it was in 2007/8 they’ve had very, very moderate success.
But of course, they didn’t run on returning to the pre-bust crappy, inefficient status quo, they ran on reform, fairness, ‘new politics’ and transparency, none of which they’ve delivered. They’ve flat out refused to deliver it.
And we were never going to descend forever into economic abyss, *a* ‘recovery’ was going to come anyway – I can’t for the life of me pinpoint where or how the government is responsible for the very modest uplift in activity? Having no government and just letting the place tick along for the past 4 years we would still be in a better position than 2011.
So your suggestion as to who to vote for would be…?
I don’t really have one TBH. I’ll be voting Catherine Murphy anyway, she really impresses me, I’m on board with what she seems to stand for (vintage Labourish). Sinn Fein do nothing for me.
I (and apparently a rapidly expanding number of others) won’t support a party system that sees the likes of Enda, who went from college to his daddy’s Dail job, to 30+ years doing absolutely NOTHING with his life, only to become leader by dint of time served and then Taoiseach on a pack of lies. Same goes for Martin, Burton et al. No one in the rarified confines of the Dail for decades upon decades doing as they’re told, voting as they’re told and speaking as they’re told is in a position to lead anything – they’re just administrators at best.
I don’t fear a Dail of 50+ percent independents, it might even work as a government – but if it doesn’t a little constructive chaos might just beat the parties into relevancy/competency.
“They’ve flat out refused to deliver it.”
*applauds*
Yer on them legal mushrooms aren’t you?
I remember I was really happy to see FG and Lab get in 4 years ago, first time I could remember FF not being in charge – and in fairness I gave them a solid year of support before making my mind up. I really have to hand it to them, it’s f**king hard work pissing away more political capital than any government in history has ever had with feck all reform or progress to show for it.
They implemented the FF 4 year plan, that FF got kicked out of
office for attempting to try on in the first place, four years later
the country is deeper in debt, most of the youth gone, rural Ireland
on its knee’s, Family Home Tax and Water Tax, Kenny and Burton
pretending its on the mend, they are worse than the lot that went
before them and they were bad.
“Most of the youth gone” LOL
I see you’ve gotten your fill of yokes today anyway.
Are you denying this reality all the way from New York City?
touché!
Maith an tZuppy!
I must have missed the reports of abandoned schools, colleges, clubs and all sports teams back home.
Fake Zuppy is fake.
People still forget that FG were behind FF & the crazy spending & housing pyramid scheme all the time, infact they wanted bigger spending.
Short term memory is right.
100% true Jimmy.
And 100% mortgages for everyone in the audience.
