Meanwhile, In Brussels

Yesterday afternoon.

At the European Parliament, Brussels, Belguim

Urging a Yes vote in the marriage referendum  Fine Gael’s four MEPs “reiterated” Ireland’s “strong record” when it comes to “defending human rights and promoting equal opportunities for all citizens, including the LGBT community”.

*cough*

Fight!

The EU’s policies are neoliberal. The EU hate non-privatised public services. They wish to open all public services to corporate competition.

You do realise in France they think that, while in Britain Europe is socialism free for all gravy train – sterotypes- You really need perspective

no, regardless of what the daily mail thinks the e.u. has evolved into an inherently right wing ,”project”.

This is a post about a referendum and equality legislation.

Nothing you have said relates to either of those things.

You are turning into the water charges equivalent of a conspiracy nut.

Apart from Brian Hayes, it’s the first time we’ve heard from these overpaid clowns in nearly a year.

Unlike Ming, Nessa Childers, Marian Harkin and the Shinners. Wouldn’t like to be FG in 2019.

Ming and Childers keep their names big by talking about national issues yet they’re elected to focus on European issues only, something that the Fine Gael MEPs (in fairness to them) adhere to.

      +1

Wouldn’t it be great if someone in the media called them on this whenever they prattle on about our impressive human rights record.

“Strong record”?! Proof these politicians have no idea of the blather that comes out of their mouths. We were one of the last countries in western Europe to decriminalize homosexuality in 1993. We got civil partnerships 22 YEARS after the first ones in Denmark in 1989 and it has been 14 years since the Netherlands brought in civil marriage. Our countries record is a complete joke in this regard. How dare these politicians claim otherwise!

I am not the only one who thinks that every time idiots who done their level best to delay SSM appear like this, the more credibility the No side have so.

Feel free to name those above advocating SMM even 12 months ago. My point is that we need leaders in Brussels, not herd followers.
