It’s hard to choose from the plethora of brilliant quotes from Fr. Ted because they were so funny and well written for all cast members, but poor oul’ Dougal, like Trigger in OFAH, had the best ones. Brilliant!

I would respectfully disagree and offer Mrs Doyle’s “Ride me sideways was another one!” rant as the best bit of the whole series.

Mrs Doyles football chants are still some of the best delivered lines in father ted.
At least it didn’t run itself into the ground like Only Fools & Horses did. Ted had one lousy last 3rd season and that was that. The first 2 series,like OFAH, were brilliant then went poo. Thank god the lead actor died! If only David Jason died 30 years ago.
