Joe Lynskey was a former monk who later joined the IRA. He was abducted in Belfast in 1972 and became one of The Disappeared.

The IRA admitted ‘executing’ Mr Lynskey  and the dig at a farm (top) at Coghalstown, Co Meath began last year.

At very least some closure for the families.

Let’s hope the location of more remains are given and help put more minds at rest.

Off topic, I know but imagine if McGuinness won the last presidential election? It was like they were trying to write a future episode of reeling in the years in 2012-a terrorist, a ‘dragon’, a former Eurovision winner and religious nut all running for president.

Is there any forensic examination of the bodies found in these sites to
determine the cause of death of the victims or is it exempt from scrutiny
There are a good few unanswered questions and given what is emerging
about collusion were some of these victims set up to cover then tracks of
    others.

If they were dumped in the bog, their remains would presumably be well preserved.

Hard to know how they were buried though, probably under a bag full of lime.
