    *facepalm*
    It’s a credit card.

The being sensible bit got dumped out the window when you decided to get one when a debit card does everything it can do, and does it cheaper. It’s a last option at best.

On most debit cards you pay a per transaction fee, you don’t on a credit card and pay zero interest if you pay it off each month so how is a debit card (which provides no credit) cheaper?

Can the idiots posting “we’re back baby” please stop it. It never went and half the things it’s said about are not boom time luxuries.

Man, you can just see the scene at the AIB Marketing and Communications department, crafting once more the lifestyle targeted adverts designed to give rope to the weak willed. Hopefully in the mandatory fine print at the bottom of the advert there’s a section that reads

‘AIB reserve the right to no longer be your friends after the ski trip is a distant memory and you are having trouble making ends meet and want to try and skip a payment or the likes. We also reserve the right to pass your debt on to some c*nt collections agency that will make your life miserable, no matter how many times you phone Liveline about it’. Now, look over there, shiny things we swear you need, go buy them’

Humans, what hope is there for us.
