If I convert to Catholicism and say an Novena will Paddy Manning allow me to have autonomy over my own uterus and womb and reproductive organs?

    Didn’t think so…

As far as Paddy and the rest of them are concerned, god doesn’t listen to the prayers of women, because of the sin of eve and all dat jazz

I dunno. Does anyone know him as anything other than ‘That gay fella from the Iona ads on Youtube?’

      1. ReproBertie

Was he also “Angry Gay fella who doesn’t want the gays getting married” on numerous TV debates?

I couldn’t watch those. So many idiots I can’t shout at. That’s what makes BS so fun. :)

He has also appeared on Vincent Browne to review the papers, usually as part of a weird double act with Colette Browne.

Maybe because he doesn’t have a little woman at home to oppress and subdue (due to being intrinsically disordered) he hopes to curry favour with Himself by putting extra effort into oppressing every other ladything?

I have a pet theory that that holds true.
Many of the leading lights of the conservative pro-family/life groups don’t exactly have what they would define as a normal family life themselves.
Its like they can’t manage their own perceived personal failures and so they need to project out to the world on how things should be. Cognitive dissonance how are ya.

Yep. People are conservative because they are naturally fearful of the unknown. It’s not like they read The Book of Conservatism and decided that was the socio-political philosophy for them. Everything you do and think is an extrapolation of a base instinct/emotion.

Is just an excuse to take a few swipes at this lad – and he’s done enough with the nonsense he’s spewed in the past to earn a few? So the man wants to run for election, fair play to him. He may well lose his deposit and he’ll rightly be taken to task by some of the C/K electorate for his guff. But, like every other candidate, no matter how deluded they are, he’s spending time and money putting himself at the mercy of the electorate. No great harm in that, in so far as I can tell. Also, no great harm in pointing out that he’s guilty of uttering balderdash when it comes to issues of personal morality if he comes looking for a vote.

A fair mind. An even temper. A steady hand on the tiller. Could you be persuaded to run yourself, Nicolas?

I may to move to whatever godforsaken bog this guy lives in just to vote for him and whatever crackpot ideology he subscribes to just to annoy the consensus of comments on this post.

‘Oh noes. Some anonymous chap on a message board is going to vote for someone I think is a plank.’ Utterly delusional.

Tis a’nawful shame Phil Hogan isn’t running

Just think of the debate we missed out on…..
