This afternoon.
Minister for Finance Michael Noonan explains the varying material benefits of abolishing the Universal Social Charge using the ‘income calculator’ launched at Fine Gael’s General Election 2016 HQ in Dublin.
Sexist.
Meanwhile…

Down with this sort of thing // Careful now
jesus wept
Plonkers.
Abolish their outlandish salaries and pensions.
Make them submit all expense claims through the Revenue Commissioners.
Give them a taste of what real life is all about.
Yes. Yes. Oh yes.
*swoon*
Simon Harris is a little pox bottle!
Tis rare to hear anyone other than Bono being called a pox bottle round these parts.
All the likability of Martin Shkreli. Like the rest of FG/AIB.
FG had the opportunity to abolish the USC in last October’s budget. They didn’t.
I believe they said at the time something along the lines of doing that would be mad, when it’s such a big chunk of the budget.
I really hate this party. They’re Fianna Fail with better English.
They’re FF who Want To Be English, Thatcherite idiots
Lads
D’ye seriously want the likes of Noonan returning to the post of Minister for Finance?
Keep the (ûnts out
Don’t vote for them
Will they also do posters and bring them along to the R2W National Protest on Saturday and do a couple of posters entitled, “Lets get prosperity going” abolish Water Tax and Property Tax.
Given the current state of public opinion it would not surpise everyone if they did.
It’s unpopular to say but the USC is a progressive tax that should be kept (if reformed).
With PAYE higher earners get to offset expenses like travel cards and bike to work schemes at the top rate. Low earners offset at the lower rate and end up paying more for the same service.
With USC there are no reliefs that unfairly benefit high earners.
According to their website’s calculator those numbers don’t add up for me.
