This morning.
Dr Antoinette Perry (top) at the launch of the Irish Cancer Society Campaign to highlight the possibility that by 2020 1 in 2 people in ireland will get Cancer
Meanwhile, above, the telly campaign, featuring people wishing that they could “get cancer”.
Like to “get” it.
As opposed to wanting to get it.

that’s your classic echo chamber advert there…I’m sure as it was presented to the Irish Cancer Society they all thought it was the bees knees. Charity advertisements need to work on a more emotive level; clever-clever wordplay (perceived or otherwise) rarely cuts it.
ICS is a scam, HQ in D4, big plush offices. They’re on the gravey train from others misery. Last thing they want is it to stop hence they only ‘invest’ in treatments that they’re buddies the pharma whores can also profit from. “I want you to get cancer” would be a more apt tagline for their campaign. Don’t expect any resolution to the cancer issue to come from that quarter
kind of agree.if only citizens themselves could band together in some kind of “party” to change society and properly redistribute wealth to fund health, education etc..
You’ve got it all figured out. Must be the tinfoil hat keeping the chemtrails from catalysing the flouride that makes you wise’re than they.
Moronic ads. seriously.. the word play ain’t that clever at all. I wanna get HIV and the mange myself..not get it, but get it..geddit. ffs.
Calm down, Anne. You’ll make yourself sick.
Don’t be such a misogynist KFC.
Its time the Irish Cancer Society was brought to book, any organisation that supports
this type a blatant word play on the subject of Cancer needs examination, those
who thought up the campaign need sacking, this organisation needs the support
of the Public to get funds, is this the type thinking that will encourage them.
