Listen now, you don’t get paid less than a man to get uppity about when you are sold things that are pink.

Well…at the risk of getting slaughtered….have you ever complained about having cheap car insurance aimed at you purely because you are a woman?….or complained about gender quotas aimed at getting you on an election ticket…or more recently onto sporting bodies for the same reason?
Personally I am against all forms of sexism,…Gender quotas, gender specific car insurance companies and this particular product, however they all don’t get a post on BS.

Deputy editor of the FT tweeted earlier today….. at the announcement of a £1/2M fund to get girls into college

” Girls already 35% more likely than boys to go to uni, yet that gender gap isn’t big enough for @UKLabour. #everydaysexism ”

The MOST privileged cohort are getting funding, while there’s £0 going to those who need it and under perform the MOST…. >_<
But hey, we live in a "patriarchy" or some other made up nonsense excuse for justifying feminist sexism.

Of course, I'm just some woman hater / loser / am very angry / etc. / take your pick… apparently, for pointing this out.

Well it’s not really ‘just for pointing this out’ though. It’s more because you can’t let a single post about the adverse effects of sexism on the lives of women pass by without leaping to attack, and pointing out how it’s really so much harder for men, not as a result of the same sexist societal structures, but because of feminism.
I do have sympathy for you, as you seem like a genuinely decent sort, who just has this one issue you just can’t get past, but nonetheless, it’s a little weird.

he reminds me of this old chap i ised to work with, brother of someone famous, he was divorced with kids and every single day he told the same story again and again about how unfair it was that his wife got primary custody and how he was a part of a men’s rights group to try to change the system…little realising that maybe the reason his wife had custody was cos he had gone completely batsh1t and obsessive. god, he was so creepy.

Your examples are pretty lame. Women can obtain cheaper car insurance because they are statistically less likely to get into an accident than men. Gender quotas are a tool designed to redress an imbalance that exists because of literally centuries of exclusively male dominance of the political system. Neither of these things is an example of sexism against men.

      1. Rainy Day

You may think they are ‘lame’ but they are valid none the less…
They may be for different reasons, car accident data, redress certain imbalances but they are sexist all the same. Just because some people may class particular forms of sexism as justified does not mean it is no longer sexist.

Yeah the whole pink thing is annoying. Parents with no imagination just stick their girls in pink crap. I think it makes the kids look a bit stupid.

      I’ll tell you what’s worse…
People who have two boys (or girls) and dress them identically.

That makes me far more annoyed than it should.

Typical woman, always complaining. Though they never seem to get upset that in clothes stores their dept is always on the ground floor.

At last now girls can glue, rather than waiting for their brothers or fathers to do it for them

  7. DD

Does it actually say it’s for girls on the packaging?

Looks like Easons is responsible for this outrage.
