I absolutely adore these sorts of things. Master craft. It reminds me of the old RTE documentary series ‘Hands’ My favorite episode was The Shoemaker where they focused on Tutty’s of Naas, the last handmade, bespoke shoemaker left in Ireland. If you can find it, or the series it’s well worth it.

A million times yes. I’m not old enough to remember Hands the 1st time round. But I discovered it a few years ago and remember that episode. Utterly fantastic

So grouchy.
Cheer up pet. It’s a nice video about craftsmanship and lovely violins.

Right so.
Kind of invalidates your original comment, doesn’t it?

Nice work Mark.

A true gentleman, who makes wonderful instruments – I’m lucky enough to own one. I enjoyed the time spent in his workshop just as much as the time I spend playing his violin!

I find this video absolutely lovely for many reasons :) this man worked with my late father many years ago. My daughter (my father’s eldest grandchild) plays violin and is obsessed with them…and that is my little scruffy dog who is named Luna in the beginning of the video haha and I love his passion for violins also
Wow. Lovely.
That was really nice.
Great!
