Families are smaller these days than years ago. And years ago, they managed with normal sized estate cars.
All these huge SUVs are like litter on the urban landscape. Too big and overpowered for the job they need to do. Plenty of excellent estates out there like the A6, Superb, Mondeo, 5 Series, Mazda 6. All pretty nice looking cars full of the stuff you want but without the obnoxious presence and the same or more interior space.
Land Rovers are for the bland predictable needy man.
exactly ..Irish peasant’s awful lack of imagination …what would make me look like I’ve a few bob…. a range rover, pink shirt and gravel in my 7 foot drive way..I often wonder why the boujeous aulwans driving them always feel the need to look busy ….they are always on their phones!
I see more women driving them than men. We need to introduce a tax on cars that block your view of the road ahead, they are dangerous and so unnecessary.
And what’s even funnier now is that the majority of these cars are purchased in front wheel drive configuration as they’re a: lot’s cheaper and b: never going off road – therefore it’s all about appearance….. Pathetic.
