Dublin Fire Brigade tweetz:
Firefighter/Paramedics have responded to a collision involving a LUAS tram and a car on Jervis Street. There are no serious injuries. Crews from Phibsborough and HQ attended.

Is this a new ‘thing’ like the unbelievable stupidity of the Bird Box challenge?
Is that what this is? Is there a hashtag to match?

Car obviously tried to turn left there without looking first. Luas would have only just been departing the Jervis stop and wouldn’t be up to a very high speed. Stupid car driver.
There is no left turn there. The car can only go straight ahead.
Damn Cyclists!!
& did you know that the LUAS doesn’t pay ROAD TAX!
…and it gives you autism
Kill it now
It’s in the DUP from what I hear…
Too many car-tram collisions in recent times. What’s the basic problem? Any comparative statistics for continental tram cities?
Much as with Car – Lamppost collisions, the basic problem seems to be drivers.
It will take some more analysis but initial results suggest that as a group, drivers are morons!
All of the LOLs
Jervis, I’m in Jervis,
And my brakes pump so that I can hardly beep;
And I seem to find the Luas tram I seek
When we’re out together crashing, cheek to cheek.
Took me a second but NICE WORK!
Impressive Nigel.
Bodger I feel a new feature coming along.
A couple of pints in the pub, get into the car, U-turn then BAM!
Didn’t they move that pub from one corner to another? I can’t remember its name.
Has the crash on the tram line at Jervis
put the Luas Red-Line out of service?
Must commuters now wait
because of some reprobate.
And what’s the rest of us done to deserve this?
Bualadh bos, Paulus!
It was the same last Friday, as ye remember, when a car blocked the red line at George’s Dock and no trams were going by that area for about eight hours afterwards.
Glad nobody is hurt. I don’t want to point fingers but I note that neither vehicle had a helmet or high vis jacket…
The Luas looks like it’s alive and called Lenny. And he is rather dazed after the crash,
Damn luas, hogging the road..
