I shouldn’t have sniggered.
No one is obviously going to say it but that’s a very decent lineup for a local chat show. obviously there’s no huge mega stars on the bill but it ticks a fair amount of boxes and isn’t the rte canteen
I wish they hadn’t said glistening regarding Mr Wilkinson’s career. Sounds a bit jism-y.
Well, I wasn’t go to say it but I did wonder who needs to know who’s on the LLS every week? Is there any overlap between the Broadsheet and LLS demographics? (As they might say in the morkeshing department…)

There’s always at least a few guaranteed snarky tubridy comments, another couple giving out about the tv license, and one defending rte.
And me in a huff when Angela Scanlon isn’t on it again…
Vote No.1 for Gemma. She wants to end public funding of RTE.
I got her flyer, anti-vax and pro-life. The irony.
It’s just soul destroying to see loss-making RTE blow €495,000 a year on this mediocrity, when, at the same time, you can switch across for free to see a proper Irish interviewer razzing world-class celebrities. The LLS is struggling to get 350,000 viewership, it’s lost in a sea of superior Friday night programming and God forbid you have to watch it with your parents (who are its target audience), it’s more toe-curlingly cringey than that time you were all together watching the actors bumming each other in the Christmas night movie.

If anyone was in any doubt about the awesome power of the LLS, they should know that Stefanie Pressner’s book which she plugged last week has stormed the Irish book charts and is now at #19, having sold 321 copies in the week after the LLS. Don’t spend the royalties all at once Stefi and remember Starbucks have a loyalty scheme, buy 6 coffees, get one free!
