Students from the National Learning Network, including top from left: Melissa Harrington and Megan Collins, affected by the axing of an allowance which enables people with disabilities to attend training courses and access employment gathered outside the Dáil to appeal to the Minister for Health to reverse the decision.
They say the value of the allowance is €31.80 per student per week “so the overall saving to Government would be minimal and yet it is a vital lifeline to those who need specialist supports to access further education or to enter the workforce”.

Stand up the person who decided this ,yes you ,what about your own big wage who decides if you should get a cut in your wage .
why do they still make these needless cuts? initially it was always because of the recession. but they’ve been beating the drum of taking us out of that for years now. how can you cut this grant, and had millions over to fee paying schools who don’t need it? or grants to yacht clubs like shane ross did .. such a horrible bunch of capatilist b******s
there should be riots on the streets Hong Kong style. the only thing that’s gonna get it into the political filths head is when they are been dragged out of Leinster House kicking and screaming. Government for the p people my bottom area.

That’s all wrong, run a petition maybe, and come back in September when the incompetent liars and thieves are back in their refurbished Leinster House at a cost of E18 million to the taxpayer, including overruns.
