The camber there, by the Olympia / Dublin Castle,
comes across very elegantly from that position
Pity it doesn’t look or feel like that when you are actually there
Pee Pee
Some fine clouds these days. Remind me of the song ‘Castles in the Sky’ by Ian Van Dahl.
Specific Gravity
Imagine the improvement for the city if a concerted effort was made to improve, maintain and enforce a high quality pedestrian friendly boulevard-style corridor from Christ Church through College Green along O’Connell St to the Parnell monument as a single entity. Proper streetscape, appropriate mix of usage, high quality infrastructure and signage etc etc. Immeasurable improvement, and would lead to knock-on improvements from the adjoining streets outwards. Sigh…. a Dub can only dream…
Hiroshima?
Love it.
can you imagine that street pedestrianised, a row of trees up the middle, benches and shade. Beautiful.
yeah there would be traffic problems but it’d be like a little La Rambla.
Doesn’t even need to be pedestrianised, but it certainly doesn’t need 2 driving lanes in each direction. Put in cycle lanes and widen the footpaths.
and ban those hanging-sticky-out shop signs
make every street look awful
I’m with you on them tatty signs
I miss Dublin…. sometimes.
Howiya luv ;)
Ah sure, I’m grand… that lovely pic tho, just reminded me of how much I did enjoy living in Dublin :)
