Did I? Did I? Did I get here before Cian?. Maybe, maybe not.

Anyway, the extension on the extension on the extension on the extension scenario trundles along.

    Boris going the extra 1.6km.

I see that ‘scraping the site’ is only a problem when other people do it – c’mon, try to make it a bit more of a challenge by being consistent for at least 20 mins…

          1. GiggidyGoo

His post was yesterday – not nine months ago. No scraping required. I know you might find it hard to remember something from yesterday. I don’t.

          2. Bitnboxy

Giggidy, come on!!! You don’t know whether you are coming or going most of the time. From anyone else!

        2. Bitnboxy

There, there Giggidy, Cian is just serving your anti-vaxx derrière some of your own greatest insult-hits. Your little Shinner baba-self gives me Beetlejuice and usual comments on your own “superior intellect”. ROFL

Most of us just virtually point, laugh and poke the angry little Shinner baba for fun and more of your greatest-hits.

          1. GiggidyGoo

Great playing with your head Britboxy. You can’t resist. My own personal Troll. ROFL. Your distinct lack of education is, and will always be your downfall. BBFN

        3. Bitnboxy

Might I suggest you signing up for a college or some sort of PLC course Giggidy – get yourself a skill? Just a thought.

Oh and if I am doing your trolltastic Mary Lounatick-self the honour of a wind-up Gippidypoo, then I do expect a you to expand your insult-repertoire for me? Good baba.;-)

The “Irish” Daily Mail looking even more Englishy this morning than usual.
You might as well buy the Daily Express than it! It seems completely obsessed with the British Royal family.
The amount of Irish material in it is miniscule these days compared to years ago, yet it still charges a premium price.

    1. Joe F

I agree with you on that Tommy but it’s funny how Broadsheet always put it at the top of the list of papers! The old boy, Charage, will be happy anyway, anything that Anglicises Ireland will be music to his ears!! I’m sure he’ll be on shortly, although he tries his best not to engage with me!

It’s Electoral College Vote day! Another nail in the coffin of Trump’s attempt to steal the White House.

For those interested there’s a live tracker of the votes here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/interactive/2020/electoral-college-vote-tracker/

First vote is around 3pm Dublin time.

I see some Qanon followers are now trying to say that Trump losing is part of the plan. Handy conspiracy this one. Something happened? It was part of the plan. Nothing happened? It was part of the plan.

    1. Junkface

God, it just drags on and on. Who knows here the Qanon conspiracy theories will be by inauguration day?
“Biden lays Lizard eggs on Trumps golf course!”

    2. Cian

I dunno, I fear Trump has something up his sleeve.
I’m not going to stop worrying until the 20 Jan and I see Trump being led from the White House (preferably in handcuffs).

Limerick win and Kiely “promises one hell of a party to come” .. that’s the problem with GAA. It’s puts itself over everything else in society. Including a deadly virus.

    1. ReproBertie

John Horan, Uachtarán GAA, and Declan Hannon, the Limerick captain, both called on supporters to celebrate sensibly in their post match speeches yesterday but haters gotta hate.

      1. Dr.Fart

That’s good. I like Limerick. As a place, and people. I just presumed it would be like the weekly pics we see of clubs winning, and throngs of people goin mad walking down a street with a cup. I jumped the gun. Probably less likely to happen on county level, coz there’s more of a spotlight on it.

        1. ReproBertie

You’ll always get idiots looking for any excuse to act the idiot. The GAA can only do so much to control it and they’ve been appealing to supporters all week. I’d expect a few photos to hit the social media outrage section today if their appeals were ignored.

        + V reberto

In fact it was very civic spirited for an AI Tá alan athas orm victory speech

It will go down as one of the best imo
Dec Hannon showed his clear class, and so did Gearoid Hegarty (MotM)
there wasn’t a grain of sweat on them, no chance of them getting carried away with themselves

They were out of this World in fairness

        f’ em anyway

I’d fallen out with some of the Limerick Supporters Club stalwarts a while back
        – something on twitter, don’t ask

But at least Shannonsider can say he lived through two wins
        And Iron Mike three
But that Nomad had still better stay clear of me

However I reckon there’s at least three more in this side
Magnificent – proper hurling, hard when they needed to be, but still made it look effortless and sporting, and those scores were magic

        f’em,
        all of ’em

BTW, I’d have given MotM to Waherfurds Stephen O’Keefe,
Who is also my player of the year
not often the No 1 geansai is the game maker
he made the year for me

        anyway,
        There’s always next year

Great news for Germany -the first German was vaccinated yesterday.
The bad news for Germany is that it was a German living in Blighty.
It comes as Germany – you know the Germany with the ‘ world-class ‘ Track and Trace system – has admitted the virus is out of control and the country has been put into a tight lockdown until January 10th.
The problem is the delay by the EU to approve vaccines, not on scientific grounds but purely political grounds as it waits for every country to receive adequate supplies of vaccines.
The German Health Minister Jens Spahn took to Twitter yesterday to beg the EU to approve the vaccine, arguing that the EU’s delay is undermining “the trust of the citizens in the ability of the European Union to act” and “Every day that we start vaccinating earlier will reduce suffering”
    https://twitter.com/jensspahn/status/1338136689219416066
The best selling European newspaper Bild has slammed the German Government for “political failure” over Coronavirus. The paper writes that whilst Germany came through the early part of this pandemic relatively unscathed, “we are currently only watching how other countries start vaccinating because the EU is lagging behind with approval due to reasons of deadlines. If every day counts, that is unreasonable. The first German was vaccinated yesterday – in England …“
Not for the first time the Germans talk up a big game but fail to deliver in extra time.

    Back of the net.

    1. Rosette of Sirius

Indeed, you must be very thankful for those very clever Germans given they developed the vaccine in the first place….

        1. Charger Salmons

          By an American multi-national company.
We’ll try one more time. The discussion is about the delivery of the vaccine not its origin.
You’re not very bright at this lark are you if I have to spell everything out as though I was dealing with the slowest in the class ?

      1. Charger Salmons

Doh ! That’s the whole point of my post.
And the increasing anger within Germany at Frau Merkel’s handling of the crisis.
Why aren’t Germans being vaccinated ?

        1. Papi

Where’s cheerful charger gone, eh? Took an entire Sunday off the bigotry and racism, but now he’s back. yay.

      1. Charger Salmons

Good Lord, another slow one from the back of the class.
        DELIVERY of the vaccine.
        One more time.
        DELIVERY of the vaccine.
And again for the really slow ones.
        DELIVERY of the vaccine.

        1. Cian

It comes as Germany – you know the Germany with the ‘ world-class ‘ Track and Trace system – has admitted the virus is out of control and the country has been put into a tight lockdown until January 10th.

“out of control” Germany has 263 deaths/million; UK has a 3½ greater death rate at 944 deaths per million.

          1. Charger Salmons

            Deep sigh.
            For the very last time.
            DELIVERY of the vaccine.
Stupid is fully togged out and ready to go today.

        2. scottser

you only want this discussion to be about the DELIVERY of the vaccine because the tans were first to roll out this untested vaccine.
          #proudtobebritish
          dry your eyes mate.

        3. Joe F

Don’t forget to mention old boy that Bozo is 0.0007% ahead in the polls. That’s all that really matters. Don’t bother about the 60,000+ that have died in Blighty. Marvelous.
