Bojo has now disowned his “oven-ready” deal, Cummings the sociopath who cheated his way to Brexit & then put him in Downing Street & now Matt Hancock-up. What is the next con that will unravel? Only a matter of time before it all falls apart.

Although top trolling marks to Cummings who tweeted “So Carrie appoints Saj as the next Health Sec”.

Wow. The British press are really gunning for this Hancock story.

You can almost feel the glee.

    1. Tommy Bohan

The British press?? What about the so called Irish press i.e. the “Irish” Mail on Sunday, it feels it necessary to have him on front page, following on from yesterdays “Irish” Daily Mail having him on front page also. Their use of “Irish” in their titles is an insult to anything Irish. They are no longer Irish titles.

      1. Chuckenstein

Your fixation with the IDM is incredible. It’s not an Irish publication despite the title and simply includes a few superficial Irish stories for sales purposes. It isn’t the only publication to do this and it isn’t rocket science.

        1. Hyper real

Am I alone in looking forward to and longing for this rant every single Sunday morning?
It is one of the most enduring and redeeming features of the site having even outlasted now other perennial favourites such a V/Frilly/Vanessa, Leather Jacket Guy, ABM, Charger/ Eoghan Harris and even dav’s legendary “thanks Blushirts” totemic mantra

          1. Tommy Bohan

I thought I had overcome it but I was out for a few drinks last night, came home around 12.30, checked Broadsheet as I like doing, and I suppose I just didn’t realize what I was doing!! That’s Coors Light for ya.

What’s the female perspective there on Gina (acting the) Cod (as opposed to an) Angelo, Millie?

I read she packed a bag and moved out of her several million (presumably co-owned) marital home, and all because a far more powerful man put his hand on her bottom? Why should a woman have to move out for having a fling at the office? Would a man even have to think about doing the same? Are we not gone past that yet?

  3. f_lawless

I came across some helicopter footage of the “Unite for Freedom” march above a street in central London yesterday. It really gives a sense of the massive scale of the event. It was originally posted on Telegram so I had to download it and put it in a folder on Dropbox in order to share here, for anyone who might be interested:

    https://www.dropbox.com/sh/16n8w2cb31g9fvt/AAAZYXCQb5oeGle8Qp1L7-zDa?dl=0

(PS. To give the video some extra context, I also uploaded a screenshot of a Youtube live-stream of the same march filmed at street level . The same distinctive overhead street banners can be seen in both the screenshot and the aerial video.)

    1. eoin

It’s being speculated that it’s the largest protest march in Londons history. Not newsworthy though…..obviously.
They should have just thrown Hancock to the crowd. Imagine the headline…..’Matt Hancock torn apart by invisible assailants!’

      1. Donker

That speculation would be wrong. Sure it’s a big march but not in the same league as the anti Iraq war one of 2003.

      2. Spot of Bodge

It was mostly extinction rebellion and kill the bill protesters. Why do you have to lie?

          1. Johnny

..do you have a superiority complex or are you just naive, cause if you think fact checking is going have the slightest effect here:)

          2. SOQ

People shouting ‘freedom’ the whole length of Oxford Street while waving banners but no- according to you its to do with the environment? BS- either you are a paid actor or you are just plain thick- now which is it?

          3. Spot of Bodge

Yep, freedom to protest … as I said, mostly Extinction Rebellion heads AND Kill the Bill protestors … Oh, and a sad bunch of pitiable paranoiacs, bless!

    2. SOQ

The usual suspects will be along to tell you that’s only a few hundred later. The same suspects whom are very comfortable with the current situation of course.

But when one of the largest marches in London’s history does not get even a brief front page mention, its not hard to conclude that for this action at least, it is a conspiracy. When has this ever happened before?

Hancock’s departure could be construed as a ‘look over there’ ploy of course- the timing being very convenient. If not then the scale of protest is bound to have influenced his decision.

      1. Rosette of Sirius

You see Tommy, plenty here like to see what the ‘British Press’ here has to offer….

        1. SOQ

Yes that is how it is being spun but there was no word of either at the last protest, which was nearly as big.

You can even see from the footage what the vast majority of protesters are about- it was an anti lockdown / safe vaccine protest- no question about it.

          1. Django O'Reilly

Nope, that is what it was: a massive majority of Extinction Rebellion/Stop the Bill protestors, with a rag-tag of sad Covid-hoax crackpots who hitched their conspiraloony wagon on to the proceedings … Are you a Russian radicalised EU domestic destabilisation agent? Are you a paranoiac? Y/N?

          2. SOQ

So this appears to be the latest propaganda tactic as it’s all over twitter and tiktok- insisting that it’s actually a Extinction Rebellion protest except there is not a single slogan or symbol suggesting such.

Makes sense I suppose- they tried to smear it all as far right conspiracy etc and that didn’t work, then the media tried to hide it until it got so big it is impossible to ignore so now- they are going try and distort it into something else.

That won’t work either- anyone with half a brain can see what’s really going on in this video.

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s91yGDAkws8

          3. Johnny

-you know social isolation and lockdown have not been easy on everyone,I know quite a few friends who are really looking forward to having the guardrails of office/social functions (cough..Kelly) to curtail their boozing/drug taking and yeah mental health.

-there really is no need to be such d*ck to anyone on a nice Sunday morning, give it a rest, free speech and all that.

          1. SOQ

Of course they’re wrong and they know they’re wrong, which is why they are resorting to abusive trolling.

          2. SOQ

That won’t wash either, plenty of rainbow flags and all ethnicities represented.

The only specific demographic I could indentify was the dance crew with thier djs- whom are demanding that the clubs are reopened. I know my own.

    3. Cian

The UK, with less than a sixth the population of the EU, had more COVID cases last week than the whole of the rest of the EU combined!

      UK number 1.

      1. Micko

Cases in the UK have steadily and dramatically rising since the end of May.

        Only a handful of deaths.

        Be grand.

          1. SOQ

Err most of the demographic which is now testing positive couldn’t possibly be fully vaccinated?

That they are just young healthy people with good immune systems doesn’t make for great pharma shilling mind.

PCR cases are and always have been BS. Most Had no symptoms and most were not even infectious.

          2. Spot of Bodge

Yes, thankfully the older people and the vulnerable are really seeing the benefits, and thankfully for the rest of the population the health services aren’t crashing to the point of tragedy. Sad Old Queen thinks otherwise, it must be awful to feel so impotent AND irrelevant that you would continue to scream shrilly into the void … THE SKY IS FALLING DOWN! THE SKY IS FALLING DOWN! Sad Old Queen …

      2. SOQ

And vaccines were the reason it declined this time last year too I suppose?

It’s a seasonal virus at end of season genuis.

        1. SOQ

SARS-Cov-2 viral infections do not automatically equate to COVID-19 disease- which is why it has been found in sewage systems and blood samples 6 months before COVID-19 outbreaks.

Now is the ideal time of year to build community immunity.

        2. SOQ

My point is not mute- at all. PCR SARS-Cov-2 results are irrelevant. You want more positives at a spin cycle over 25- then just test more people.

Of course you’d be more familiar with spin cycles then me eh Cian?

      3. Micko

        @Frankie,

No one here is anti-vax. And of course the vaccines work. Great news

Just “anti” giving ANY medicine with no scientific data on long term effects to young people. Especially as young people are essentially immune.

If they are vulnerable young people then fine, risks from Covid outweigh the possible unknown long term effects from the vaccines (there may be now – hopefully this is the case)

Would you consider that stance a “tin foil hat” one?

  4. GiggidyGoo

Things mustn’t be going well for blueshirt Geoghegan if you have Boo Boo Harris calling for FF FG GREEN to unite (to keep SF out, LOL).

Here’s a bit of news. FF FG morphed into FFG a long time ago. No need to call for anything there. The Greens will do anything they’re told.

How demoralizing it must be for a candidate from the FF party to say ‘if you don’t like me, please vote for the FG candidate, or if you vote for me, give your second preference to the FG candidate”. Similarly, the FG candidate begging someone to vote FF.

    1. Hyper real

You said there would be news?
This is the “new” politics – same as the “old” politics, except now they no longer have to pretend.
      Get used to it pal

    Insane Asylum:)

This NYT piece is dated but a good behind the curtain look at Teneo, since then they tried to public but overvalued themselves at 1 billion.
CVC – old white shoe Citicorp private equity shop-bought the MAJORITY and now have full and complete control, valuing them at 700 million,so basically Declan bit the hand that feeds him, they were the sponsors that night, with the full C suite in attendance plus one’s.
LA/NY start ups in some industries still tolerate frat boy, drunken boorish obnoxious behavior, but no one comprehends nor understands a sloppy drunk 53 year old at a charity event, that you have over 350 million riding on.

    Back in the day….

    https://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/23/business/a-constellation-of-influencers-behind-the-curtain-at-teneo.html

You can’t make it up he’s was a star f**er from when he landed in NY,always had be on stage.

    – Mr. Keary and Mr. Kelly are members of a rock band at Teneo, Insane Asylum, which performs Rolling Stones covers, former employees say.-

    Now who ya gonna call..

-Teneo frames its offerings to C.E.O.s like this, according to several former employees: You can’t trust your board of directors, who could fire you. You can’t trust your lieutenants, who want your job. Which is why you need Teneo.
Some pitches also included what three former Teneo employees called the fear factor approach-

Fear oh I’d say the morning after it was all about that.

Update from last year in IT,aged well.

-its Bob Geldof figure is another Irishman. Unlike the sweary, in-your-face Geldof, Tipperary-born Declan Kelly, the low-profile executive producer of One World: Together at Home, is unlikely to be gesticulating at your television set telling viewers “give me your money. I want your f***in’ money now”.-

    1. Rasta Zeneca

Geldof doesn’t get obnoxious when elephants, drops the hand, or make a major fool out of himself.

      1. Johnny

Kelly decided he’d show those small time local building inspectors,it’s small change,he already before he moves in looks like a chump.
It’s just so naff and arriviste,oh hi I’m new in town with loads new money from dry heave midlands of Ireland,I’m is going show them,he’s a pariah out East,no vendor will deal with him.

        https://nypost.com/2019/09/21/clinton-fixer-sues-over-faulty-hamptons-home-inspection/

Has he ever mentioned never mind did anything for the GFA or peace, his launching pad in NY-nah he went west brit like his idol, the broke old fool O’Reilly.

Erm, Ano Turtiainen. Really lovely fellow.

Among his various criminal convictions, Turtiainen has also been sentenced for assault. According to Helsingin Sanomat, the district court of Southern Savonia sentenced Turtiainen to fines in March 2010 for assaulting a 14-year-old boy from Juva. Turtiainen had been previously sentenced for assault in 1997 and 1995.

On 3 June 2020 Turtiainen mocked George Floyd on his Twitter account with a tweet showing an image of Floyd, a police officer’s knee on his neck and his face colorized pink, with the phrase “Pink Floyd”. His parliamentary group called the tweet “not acceptable”.The tweet was later deleted. As a response to Turtiainen’s tweet, the Finns Party (a far right outfit) expelled him from the parliamentary group. Citing zero tolerance for racism, US-based company Elitefts announced that it is ending its business relationship with Ano Turtiainen’s company, Metal Sport & Gear.

In 1998, he tested positive for androgenic drugs and was banned from competing in International Powerlifting. Funny how he isn’t too concerned about bodily toxins here if there is a deadlifting medal in the mix!

Lovely guy altogether. A bit too hot even for the far right True Finns party but shur, we all have a colourful past.

      1. SOQ

You are missing the point, he is putting them on notice- if it turns out that there is serious medium to large scale injuries as a result of these vaccines, they cannot claim ignorance as a defense.

I expect you are going to see this strategy being employed in a number of counties. I heard rumors the same may happen here- time will tell.

        1. Bitnboxy

Well, he wasn’t too concerned about the damage to his own body as he stuffed it with steroids.

You are better than this jaw-dropping hypocrisy SOQ and championing a roid-addled “man ” who has said some of the worst things about gay people.

There is no point. The point is that you are relying on yet another opportunistic nincompoop.

          1. goldenbrown

hm. well it seems to be a very widespread affliction nowadays. this logic that every sentient being must be heard from, opinion considered and valued on an equal basis no matter what their past deeds, dogma, reputation

so many people’s filters are offline/missing/deleted somehow, something in the water, who knows

must make for a very stressful existence tho

          2. SOQ

Actually quite the opposite is happening- one of the biggest protests ever in the UK which not only have MSM blanked, tech companies are moving in to remove the videos from their servers today.

As for this guy- I know little about and care less. He’s probably just rushed in to claim credit as such often do but, putting authorities and politicians on notice to ensure they do not claim ignorance over CoVid-19 vaccines- is something we will see on a regular basis soon.

          3. Bitnboxy

Leaving aside the backtracking on the Finn SOQ, I can safely say that 1. that march was not the “biggest in the history of London” as you claim above (what is with you and wildly overstating protest numbers? People will check FFS) and 2. there is no mass media conspiracy to take down any reference to this march.

            Please, get a grip.

          4. Bitnboxy

And a big air kiss to you too, you auld charmer SOQ.

“Rock musician, 48, died of a brain haemorrhage two weeks after he had AstraZeneca vaccine as doctors link rare complications caused by jab”

Another tragic story. Talk about being failed by the health services. First, the paramedic dismissed the obvious possibility the man was experiencing a vaccine side-effect and so vital days went by without him receiving treatment which could have saved his life. Now his fiance has to fight to prove he was ‘60% disabled’ before he died in order to receive any compensation. Does the compensation system here in Ireland have a similar clause, I wonder?

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9728411/Rock-musician-48-died-brain-haemorrhage-two-weeks-AstraZeneca-vaccine.html

“An inquest will be held into Zion’s death, but a preliminary death certificate cites an irreversible brain injury caused by a haemorrhage, in turn caused by ‘complications of a Covid-19 virus vaccine’…

..His fiancée, Vikki Spit, 38, who had spent just one night apart from him in 21 years, said her life has been ‘smashed into a million pieces’…’he was extremely fit and healthy’..

..Zion had no side effects for the first week – but she phoned for the ambulance on May 15 when he didn’t get out of bed…

(She said): ‘The first responder took all the information and she thought it was relevant he had had the vaccine, but the paramedic said it was too long ago and they came to the conclusion he had a migraine.’

(His fiance) called paramedics again two days later when Zion started slurring his words, before suffering a seizure…
    ..
(She’s) calling for ministers to rework the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme after learning that she will not receive compensation unless she can prove that Zion was ‘60% disabled’ before he died.”
