On this day.
And for the week that’s in it.

Hurrah for the brown photos
And for tough women.
Alas for the dreams of the Irish Revolutionary Republicans, Ireland never really became a Republic, just another Liberal Democracy, who’s elected leaders then handed over sovereignty to the EU, an organisation that embodies the last gasp of European Fascism.
While keeping their jobs, of course, as if they were still functionally in charge of the country. This system functioned, to some degree, when the European elites running it were pretending that the welfare of their citizens was their focus, now that their attitude has morophed into visceral hatred & a desire to slowly genocide them & replace them with migrants, it’s become a nightmare.
“…Ireland never really became a Republic…”
True. We swapped crown rule for Rome rule. Perhaps the reason the majority of Irish citizens are now pro EU is those of a certain vintage can recall what the country was like before 1973.
