Great Day For The Chisellers

at

This afternoon.

The Liberties, Dublin 8.

Via Dublin City Council:

The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alison Gilliland, unveiled a plaque this afternoon to mark the occasion, with the opening of Bridgefoot Street Park transforming what was a derelict site into a beautiful landscape of trees with grassed and planted mounds, incorporating a performance area, play spaces, allotments and a community garden.

Dublin City Council and the local community collaborated in the vision, promotion, planning, design and development of the park and this collaboration will continue in the management and operation which will be key to the success of the park.

…The new public park is approximately 1 hectare in size and has been developed utilising what would normally be considered waste materials such as calp, concrete, reclaimed stone and brick, as aggregate to create pavements, seating and play spaces….

In fairness.

Absolutely great but have they revealed about insurance
Seems a big thing these days in all the harbours the councils are shutting off from the general public because of health and safety the childrens play park at kilbogget in Dublin was nearly shut down last year because of insurance and several play areas in parks have closed due to insurance issues
The latest harbour victim is union hall in west cork and as a result no one can launch their boats and pleasure crafts and the harbour is now only open to trawlers and their crews

Looks amazing. Will be great for tourists sauntering up to Guinness to check the park out on the way.

I’ll give this a month , max before it’s colonised by the heavy concentration of drug addicts and complete skangers that live right there.
Decades of welfare dependency and an utterly failed social welfare model, means things like this will never work and the majority of decent people that live around there will continue to be terrorised by these feckless morons.
Wait until people like Aodán O’Ríordán (who lives in Clontarf) get their way and install an injection centre, and it’s game over completely.

Hopefully one person will be employed by DCC to dress up as a Telly Tubby and wander about the place…
