Ruth Coppinger of the Socialist Party celebrates after winning the Dublin West by-election tonight in Citywest.

Last night, Tonight with Vincent Browne held a debate between the candidates running in next week’s Dublin West by-election, following the resignation of Patrick Nulty.
After the debate, the results of a public poll asking if the Labour Party deserve to retain Mr Nulty’s seat were revealed..
Ouch.

Last night on TV3’s Tonight With Vincent Browne, Senator Eamon Coughlan, of Fine Gael – who is running in next week’s Dublin West by-election following the resignation of Patrick Nulty – regaled those present and those watching with a story about a constituent he met while out canvassing.
