The third annual Fingal Film Festival starts TOMORROW (Friday 26th) and runs till Sunday 28th at Movies@Swords. Friday’s highlight is the premiere of Palo Alto (2014), the debut feature from Gia Coppola.

Independent Irish talent will be represented in screenings of One Ocean: No Limits, the story of a novice rower’s crossing of the Atlantic ocean, and A Terrible Beauty, a docudrama about the men and women of the Easter Rising.

The festival also hosts a number of workshops over the weekend, including an Animation workshop led by Robert Cullen (Boulder Media, the Irish animation house currently working on the Dangermouse reboot), and a Sound Design session with Niall Brady (Frank) and Steve Fanagan (Game of Thrones) on Saturday 27th.
