Ultan Monahan writes:

“Thanks for publishing the news that Kinvara has decided to boycott Israeli goods. I’ve seen lots of comments of support for this decision, and it makes me proud of my home town. If people want to support the traders of Kinvara, then they can come to our traditional boat festival Cruinniú na mBád (The Gathering Of The Boats) from August 8-10.

‘Gaza Action Ireland’ protesters outside the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin this evening to protest against the on going conflict in Gaza.

“In my professional opinion, the ongoing attacks on medics in Gaza clearly constitute a war crime that cannot be justified and warrant immediate referral to the International Criminal Court. I call on our government to demand an apology from the Israeli ambassador or to expel him.”
Professor Damian McCormack, a surgeon at the Mater this evening.
