I am taking part in an all female show (my entry above) dedicated to Alice in Wonderland in Los Angeles to promote the new film. It’s being organised by Hero Complex Gallery in Los Angeles in partnership with Disney Studios and Amy Poeler’s Smart Girls and opens this Friday! 7-10pm Hero Complex Gallery, 2020 S. Robertson Blvd, Studio D, Los Angeles, CA 90034….
Me ‘Can i get a photo?’
Him: ‘Sure you an artist?’
Me: ‘Yeah i did those screen prints over there.’
Him: ‘Oh cool I just bought one of those.’
Me: …. jaw drop.

Artist Meagan Hyland, of Meg’s Movie Alphabet fame , on meeting Simon Pegg in Gallery1988 in Los Angeles last night.
Meg is exhibiting at The Official Edgar Wright Art Show, paying tribute to director Edgar Wright and his movies, including Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, World’s End and, from the telly, Spaced.
She writes:
I really wanted to focus on Spaced but decided to pick Tim & Daisy’s alter egos Shaun & Yvonne and their parallel journeys through Z-Day. limited edition screenprints of 50, will be available to purchase from Gallery 1988’s online store sometime next week. Meagan’s Movie Alphabet is still going on in the background and I am looking for submission ideas for letter, U, V, X, and Y….

Edgar Wright with model maker Elin Adler, who collaborated with Irish artist Mick Minogue to make an Edgar Wright pinata for the exhibition.
