This coming Thursday, 7UP Free and Happenings will screen the last outdoor movie in the 7UP Free #SummerCinema series.

Bringing the popular movies series to a close in true cinematic style, John Carney’s Irish movie ‘Sing Street’ will be screened in Merrion Square, Dublin 2 at 10pm.

For one final time before the movie kicks off, settle in to a comfy billow bag with a complimentary 7UP Mojito Free, or pull up a blanket and get cosy in the heart of the city centre. Gates will open at 8pm and the park will be transformed with a sea of green 7UP Free billow bags as the sun sets …

Christmas On The Square happens this Saturday with craft, food and drink markets, Santa, talks, performances, screenings and more indoors in the houses of Merrion Square. All free events but some ticketed.

Events include: Dublin’s Christmas Past with the ‘Come Here To Me’ bloggers; An Ancient Christmas Carol Singing Workshop; Le Père Noël screening, presented by The French Embassy; Pop-Up Café with Luncheonette; Lunchtime Talks: Aoife Carrigy talks to a selection of Irish cookbook authors, AND Vinyl Love playing Christmas tunes!

The original plans for Merrion Square, Dublin [by cartographer Jonathan Barker] on display at the Irish Architectural Archive this month to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Merrion Square. A lecture series to go with the exhibition starts today.
