“The focus of the Midnight Street Soccer league is to provide young people from all over the North of Ireland with something to do on Saturday nights. The project is aimed at youngsters aged between 14 and 17. The league takes place on Saturday evenings from 9.30pm and stops shortly before midnight.”

The Midnight Street Soccer league has been in Derry since 2011 and Gary says each season they attract over 100 young people to the football pitches in Shantallow every Saturday night.

Anyone got a spare all-weather pitch?
