Myself and a friend run a Mod magazine ostensibly for the Irish scene (yes, there is still a Mod scene going) but with a global readership. It’s a small print run but we are hoping to increase that as issues come out. Anyway 99.9999% of your readers would have no interest in the subject matter however this issue has 12 pages featuring The Blades as remembered by band members, label owner and fans and might be interesting to the 40+ brigade who spent their teenage years in the Baggott/McGonagles and other long gone venues. The cover was commissioned specially from Jaymokid who has a neat line in Mod/indie-themed artworks. There’s loads more in there including local current wunderkinds Gangs. This issue is flying out the door and we are not doing another print run. So if anyone wants one they can pick one up in Spindizzy Records, in the Market Arcade on South Great George’s Street, Rebirth of Cool, on Fownes street, Dublin 2, or via paypal.
