“There’s no easy to solution to this. I think, you know, what’s good for the economy is not necessarily good from a social point of view and vice versa.What’s good from a social point of view isn’t necessarily good for the economy. But I think at this point in time we need to address the issues. The weak don’t carry the strong. It’s the strong that carry the weak. So I think we need to get money out of the system, cut public spending, get the economy back on its feet again, growing to a level that’s sustainable, a decent level that’s sustainable. If we get high levels of growth then we can raise our social welfare and our social system again.”
