Ryan Brooks (who calls himself, ahem, ‘The Real Tony Stark’) used 4000+ pieces of Lego Technik and 389 armoured plates to create this nifty Iron Man suit-briefcase.

The cut-scenes of Ryan struggling into his creation are fairly daft compared to the ‘real thing’ in action, but still, nice metal origami.

This is the weird neon mylar Superman suit that Nic Cage would have worn in Tim Burton’s Superman reboot Superman Lives, axed during the 90s in favour of Superman Returns. The above video of the thing in action has just debuted on the internets.

Did the geek world dodge a bullet? Or were we cruelly denied a masterpiece?

Lest we forget, Timmy did a nice twist on Batman.

Raytheon’s second-generation exoskeleton (XOS 2), essentially a wearable robotics suit, was unveiled for the first time recently during an event at the company’s Salt Lake City research facility.

With the popularity of the Iron Man movies, people wonder if I feel like Iron Man when I suit up. I usually tell them that I can’t speak for Tony Stark, but when I’m in the suit I feel like me, only a faster, stronger version of me. Given that his character lives in a California mansion and owns a stable of very fast race cars, that’s probably as close as we’ll come to a shared experience.”

Rex Jameson, Raytheon Sarcos Test Engineer for XOS 2

So much more impressive than Honda’s dorky exo-legs.
