Rebecca Black tweetz:
History Ireland is displeased that there are no commemorations of the 250th anniversary of Wolfe Tone’s birth
Born in Dublin on June 20th 1763. Wolfe Tone is considered the father of Irish republicanism.
He attempted to unite Catholic, Protestant and Dissenter.
He was also fond of a drink or three.
Why has the anniversary of his birth gone largely unnoticed?
Is it ‘cos he was a prod? Anyone?
