“await around”
Apologies, Jockstrap. Fixed now. Thanks
Fantastic. Love the artwork.
Anyone old enough here to remember the B&I boats?
They were terrible
I remember sick flowing back and forth across the toilet floor.
The Sealink to Stranraer – nothing on the menu but a “sausage batch” and a queasy belly.
Ah yes.
And the Sealink / Landsdowne Bar and casino table; the clinking of duty-free bottles, the rough seas, sound of dry-reaching – drowned out by the few oul come-allyes until the bar closed.
In the early 20th Century, the Wicklow coast was renowned for it’s thriving transvestite community.
They hung out in the shallow waters..
Pity the railway line going through the Barnesmore Gap is out of commission. Lovely views I’d say (on the 2 days of the year it’s not snowing).
Fantastic painting, design and graphics. How do our modern day equivalents compare?
That was nice :) My Dad once worked on the Donegal Railway : )
Cheapest way to get a Paul Henry up on your wall (today’s little known fact)
He does seem to have had a disproportionate influence on these posters all right!
They’re not influenced by Paul Henry, They are Paul Henry’s (actually commissioned for the posters)
Anyone know if it is possible to get reproductions of these prints? Thanks in advance.
Try http://www.nrm.org.uk which has the originals of the posters (I think!).
There’s one hanging in Bewleys on Grafton St.
Not sure how well it’s screwed on.
Can anyone tell me where Southern Ireland is? It looks magical! Im from Dublin but now live in London and people keep telling me telling me I’m from ‘Suuvhern Aaahland’… I’ve never heard of it, and I got a A2 in Geography in the leavin!
